beloved wife of Nicolau Andrade, died Sunday November 22 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She was 58 years old.

Loving mother of Benjamin, Maria, Jose, Nixon, Melanie, Anna, Melissa and Christina Andrade.

Leona L. (Laskowski) Ghublikian

formerly of New Seabury, Weymouth and Boston, died Friday November 20 at Atria at Marina Place, Quincy, after a long illness.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she received a PhD in Chemistry and was employed by Standard Oil for several years. Mrs. Ghublikian and her husband built a summer residence at New Seabury 43 years ago and they moved there permanently 17 years ago.

Beloved wife of John R. Ghublikian. Loving mother of Jack Ghublikian and his wife Maureen of Milton and Ann K. Ghublikian and her partner Margaret Sutherland of Richmond, MA. Grandmother of Anna, John and Jane Ghublikian.

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Leona is Sunday, November 29 at 11:30 AM in Apthorp Chapel at Milton Academy, 170 Centre Street, Milton. Interment Great Neck Woods Cemetery, Mashpee, will take place at a later date.

Kevin R. McTaggart

163f573962ed2cba051e6b1f841a3135Kevin R. McTaggart, a retired marketing director, died Monday November 16 at his home in Milton. He was 67 years old.

Born and raised in Milton, Kevin was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School and attended Bentley College. He retired for Holyoke Mutual Insurance Company of Salem in 2004. Kevin loved the outdoors – skiing and birding in particular and enjoyed listening to oldies rock’n roll.

Beloved son of the late James J. and Ruth C. (Brown) McTaggart. Brother of Lucille and her husband George Naymie of Norwell and Jan and her husband Harry Emerson of Middleboro. Uncle of Keith Naymie and Brian Naymie, both of Norwell and Pam Besse of Easton.

Jean M. (Stanton) Rooney

Rooney, Jr. Loving mother to Christopher M. and his wife Lee Rooney of Hyde Park, and Gregory T. and his wife Karla Rooney of West Roxbury. Devoted Grammy to Ashley, Hailey, Allison, and Jessica. Beloved daughter of Joseph and Mary Stanton of Hyde Park. Dear sister of Thomas Stanton and his wife Margaret of Sandwich, Lorraine Murphy and her husband Alfred of Needham, Elizabeth “Bettie” Kilcoyne and her husband David of Dedham, and William “Bill” and his partner Steven Myers of Boston. Jean leaves many nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.

Jean was a dedicated Reading Specialist and taught in the Boston Public Schools for 28 years. She was a proud graduate of Girls Latin School, earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Boston State College, and her Master’s Degree from Bridgewater State College.

Angie Gray

was born on November 26, 1922 in Pelham, Georgia to the late Arthur Johns and Martha “Mattie” Johns (Scott). She was the ninth of eleven children. She attended school in Georgia, where she met and married W.C. Gray. Her only child, Larry C. Byrd, was born in Pelham. Angie became a Jehovah’s Witness in 1985.

Angie treasured being a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her unconditional love also extended to her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, embroidery, listening to gospel music and reading. Angie faced her lengthy illness with both courage and hope. Even in the darkest days she had a smile ready to share. She departed this life on Friday, November 6. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mattie, six sisters – Lillie, Elzie, Delia Vicie, Mamie Esther, Arlena, and Marie, and three brothers – Alvin, Preston, and Timothy.

She leaves to mourn a son Larry Byrd (Brenda Byrd) of Massachusetts, a sister Maple Gary of Georgia, three grandchildren – Jennifer Brooks, Tonya Brooks-Taylor (Joseph Taylor) of Massachusetts, and Leneice Coffey of Texas, five great grandchildren – Takiesha Brooks, Jaquil Brooks, Jabari Taylor, and Jurnee Brooks of Massachusetts, and Kierra Robinson of Texas. In addition, she will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ann L. (Hurley) Ceurvels

in Quincy, Tuesday November 3, 2009. She was 83 years old.

Beloved wife of the late Arthur L. Ceurvels Sr., late Boston FireFighter Ladder-20. Loving mother of Arthur L. Jr. and his wife Patricia of Hanover, Richard M. and his wife Ursula of Weymouth, Joseph G. (Captain, Quincy Fire Dept.) and his wife Kathleen of Quincy, Diane L. Clifford (Senior Fire Alarm Operator, Boston Fire Dept.) and her husband Peter of Weymouth, Gerard J. (FireFighter, Quincy Fire Dept.) and his wife Jean of Braintree, and Catherine T. O’Leary and her husband Robert of Whitman. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ann passed away at the Sunrise Assistant Care Living in Braintree Tuesday afternoon with her loving family by her side. Born in Somerville she attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School and graduated from Somerville High School. She lived in Quincy most of her life and was an avid bingo player and bowler. She loved to travel and spend time with her loving family. She belonged to St. Agatha’s Ladies Guild and was a active member in the parish for many years.

Serafino Robert "Bob" Bernozzi

62, of West Roxbury, died at his home after an illness on November 2, 2009.

Bob was a Technician for Verizon and in his spare time he enjoyed sailing, woodworking, travelling with his family and spending time outdoors.

Beloved husband of Lisa A. (Anzuoni). Father of Joel and Jeremy, both of West Roxbury and Lauren Bernozzi of Brattleboro, VT. Brother of Diane Ryan of NY, Patricia of Easton and Anthony Bernozzi of NY. Bob is also survived by his two granddaughters Natalia and Gabriela and 10 nieces and nephews.

Tanya P. (Preston) Catanzaro

died on October 27, 2009, wife of the late Samuel Catanzaro. Loving mother of Nina Provenzano of CA., Toni Fitzgerald of NH, formerly of Milton, and Vickie Dehner of Kingston. Sister of the late Walter Preston and Zina Gribben. Aunt of Linda and Jack Eromin and their daughter Katrina of Florida. Tanya is also survived by 4 Grandchildren.

Born in Canada, Tanya attended McGill University and moved to New York in the 1940’s.

She started an upholstery business in Hyde Park, NY. Tanya lived in New York until the 1980’s. She then moved to Sebastian, Florida and subsequently moved to Milton, MA in 1998.

John J. McGee

79, of Dorchester, formerly of Charlestown, died at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on October 26, 2009.

Mr. McGee worked in the Maintenance Department of the MBTA and he was a late member of Teamsters Local 25, MBTA Local 589, the McKeon Post and the Old Dorchester Post. Mr. McGee also served in the US Army.

Beloved husband of Marie C. (Boushell) McGee. Father of Jack F. of Braintree, Kevin R. of Rockland, and Stephen M. McGee of Canton, Kelli M. Murphy of South Weymouth and Kerri A. Foley of Dorchester. John is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Brother of Robert M. McGee of Hanover and the late Francis and Daniel McGee.
