John D. “Jack” Wallace

83, of Milton, died at Milton Hospital on December 28, 2009.

Born in Camden, NJ, Jack served in the US Navy during World War II, from 1944-1946. He was a graduate of Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania in 1950. After college, he worked as a sales representative in the records and television divisions of RCA. Jack and his wife traveled to Hawaii, Japan, and Hong Kong on business trips. In 1973, Jack entered a new career in commercial real estate in the Boston area. He later joined his wife, Josephine “Jo” Wallace in residential real estate for the Jack Conway Company.

Jack was a Past President of the Milton-Hoosic Club in the 1970s. He enjoyed swimming, golf, and performing in the tambourine line for the popular “Hoosic Follies” shows.

Beloved husband of the late Josephine “Jo” (Barnum) Wallace. Father of David Johnson Wallace and his wife Judy Lloyd of Brunswick, ME and Alfred W. Trenkler of Milton. Brother of the late Thomas Wallace and Hope Wallace Reeder. Uncle of Jill Wallace McNeil of Haverford, PA, Gregory Reeder of Birchrunville, PA and Hunter Reeder of Augusta, WV.

Memorial Service at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 535 Canton Avenue, Milton, Saturday, January 30 at 1:00 PM.

Carol A. (Boyle) Cronin

of Canton, formerly of Dorchester, January 25, 2010. Beloved wife of Cornelius F. Cronin, Jr. for 49 years.

Loving mother of Kevin M. Cronin and his wife Michelle of Easton, Bridget E. Cronin, Beth C. Healy and her husband Desmond of Easton, Maura J. Proctor and her husband David of Canton, Sheelagh C. Corcoran and her husband Paul of Braintree and the late Cornelius “Neil” Cronin III. Sister of Paul W. Boyle of Taunton and the late Edward A., Jr., and Owen J. Boyle and Mary E. King. Carol is survived by nine grandchildren.

Princess Harrison

54,of Boston, after a short illness, January 15,2010 passed away at home.Princess was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was survived by two daughters Nikole Huertas and Angel Harrison. Sister of Marie, Charles and Richard Henderson. Daughter of the late Wealthy and Nettie (Clinard)Henderson. Princess was also survived by 4 loving grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday in the Serenity Chapel, Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS at 2 PM. Relatives and friends invited.

Timothy E. McSweeney

a former substitute teacher for the Boston Public Schools, died Sunday January 24 at Golden Living Ceneter, West Newton. He was 68 years old.

Born in Boston, he was a longtime resident of Dorchester.

Beloved son of the late David P. and Margaret J. (Finn) McSweeney. Brother of David P. McSweeney of Wayne, PA, Denis M. McSweeney of Milton and Kathleen E. Scanlan of Marshfield. Timothy is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Private interment took place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.

Mary H. “Mollie” Herlihy

a longtime resident of Marstons Mills, died peacefully Thursday January 21.

Born in Boston, she graduated from Notre Dame Academy, Roxbury in 1939 and Fisher Business School, 1942. She was employed at Otis Elevator for six years as an assistant accountant, later as Deputy Tax Collector for the Town of Milton for twelve years. She had also worked for Citizens Bank, Cape Cod, for ten years.

A resident of Milton for 48 years, she was a communicant and member of the Guild at St. Mary of the Hills Church. Mrs. Herlihy moved to Marstons Mills in 1983. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Osterville and served on the Altar Society and the Guild. Mollie also volunteered preparing meals at Noah’s, a homeless shelter in Hyannis.

Wife of the late Dr. John P. Herlihy. Mother of David, Joan, Michelle, Jonathan Herlihy and Maura Kinnealey. Stepmother of Jack Herlihy and Mary “Bette” Parker both of CA. “Adopted mother” of Deborah Hennessey. Sister of Paul, Catharine “Katie” and David and the late Henry and William Hayward. Mollie is also survived by six loving grandchildren; Kaethe, John-David, Patrick, Frederick, George Herlihy; Michael Kinnealey and the late Jay Kistler as well as three great grandchildren Marlew and Reed Herlihy and Loren Zorrillo and two step-granddaughters, Dianne Wright and Susie Kennelly of CA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth’s Church, Milton, Saturday January 23 at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, MILTON, Friday 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Interment Milton Cemetery.

Rosemarie G. (Corbett) Dooley

of Chatham, formerly of Milton, January 19, 2010, beloved wife of the late Francis C. Dooley. Loving mother of Ro Dooley Webster and her husband Mark of Boston and James F. Dooley and his wife Kathy of Portland, ME. Rosemarie is also survived by 3 grandsons.

Daniel M. Lomba

29, of Dorchester and Brockton, died suddenly Wednesday, January 14, 2010.

Born Jan. 17, 1980, he was a son of Cynthia Berry and Daniel Lomba, both of Boston. Danny loved movies and music and was well liked and loved. He will be missed. He was the brother of Derek Lomba, Jason Soto and Trina Soto, all of Boston. He will also be missed by his companion, Kimberly Mallard; and many family and friends.

Cecelia T. Zablocki

Of Dorchester, died January 10th, 2010 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. She was 87.

Born on September 15, 1922 in North East, Pennsylvania, beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Pieczilewicz) Lenczewski, Cecelia lived for a short period of time in South Boston and has been a Dorchester resident since 1953.

A devoted homemaker, wife and mother, she had a great sense of humor and in her spare time enjoyed music, playing the piano and singing. She loved caring for her cats throughout the years. A woman of strong faith she was an active communicant at Saint Gregory Church in Dorchester Lower Mills.

Beloved wife of the late Stanley J. Zablocki, and sister of the late Alice, Julia, Mike and Stanley.

She is survived by her loving children John M. Zablocki and his wife Maria of Melrose, Richard A. Zablocki of Freemont, NH, Joseph A. Zablocki of Quincy, and Ann Marie Zablocki. In addition she is survived by her step-grandson Nel Lima and many nieces & nephews.

John F. “Ted” Coughlin

a retired salesman, died Monday December 21 at Colony House Nursing and Rehabilitation, Abington, after a long illness. He was 95 years old.

Born and raised in Dorchester, he was a member of the National Guard of Massachusetts during World War II. Mr. Coughlin was an advertising salesman in the newspaper industry for over forty years. He retired from the Record American after having worked for the Herald Traveler for over 25 years.

Mr. Coughlin was a 66-year Milton resident. He was a former member of the United States Coast Guard Power Squadron. Boating and carpentry were his hobbies. He enjoyed making miniature structures – dollhouses, fire stations and garages from pieces of scrap wood. His late dog, an Irish setter named Red Claire, was his constant companion.

Beloved husband of Claire M. (Darwak) Coughlin. Loving father of Patricia and her husband Joseph Celona of Whitman, Dr. John F. Coughlin and his wife Meg of Falmouth, ME, Elaine and her husband Bob Schaeffer of Sanibel Island, FL, Kathleen and her husband John McCown II and Debra Coughlin, all of Pound Ridge, NY. Grandfather of Kristine Celona Mucci and her husband Rick, Michael Celona and his wife Mindy, Dario Schaeffer, John Daly McCown III, Caroline Hart McCown, Christopher Coughlin and Elizabeth Coughlin. Great-grandfather of Isabella Celona, Justin Mucci and Lucia Celona. Brother of Donald Coughlin of CT and the late William Coughlin, Marie Provencher, Paul Coughlin and Jeremiah Coughlin.
