Fr. Robert F. Nee O.F.M.

Fr. Robert F. Nee O.F.M., formerly of Saint Anthony Shrine, Boston, died in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, Wednesday January 19, 2011. He was 76 years old.

Born in Boston and raised in South Boston, he was a graduate of Boston Technical High School, Class of 1952. Fr. Nee entered the Order of Friars Minor in 1955 and was ordained a priest in 1962. He was missionary in Brazil for fourteen years and hospital chaplain for eight years. Fr. Nee served at St. Francis House, when he lived at Saint Anthony Shrine, Boston. He also served as Pastor of St. Catherine’s Church, Ringwood, NJ; associate Pastor at St. Francis Church, NYC; Pastor at St. George Church, Jeffersonville, NY; and associate at St. Anthony Shrine. He retired to Marian Manor, South Boston in 2002.

Beloved son of the late Coleman F. and Irene F. (Conroy) Nee. Brother of Richard J. Nee of Honolulu, HI, Sr. Judith Nee SND of Stoneham, Edward M. Nee of Morlaix, France, David M. and his wife Joan Nee of Fairfield, CT and Patricia M. and her husband Mark Curran of Harrison, ME. Devoted uncle of Monica Churchill and her husband John of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Christopher C. Nee and his wife Becky O’Brien of Chevy Chase, MD, Jonathan J. Nee of Silver Spring, MD and Colleen Curran of Brighton. Great uncle of Riley R., Brady F. and Connor J. Nee of Chevy Chase, MD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated at Saint Anthony Shrine, 2nd Floor Chapel, 100 Arch Street, Boston, Tuesday January 25 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours at the Shrine Monday 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with a Wake Service at 7:00 PM. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.

Peter Kevin Doyle Jr.

Peter K. Doyle Jr. died at his home in Taunton Wednesday January 19, 2011. He was 41 years old. Born in Fort Benning, GA he was raised in Randolph and graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School, Brockton, Class of 1987. He attended Massasoit Community College. Mr. Doyle has lived in Taunton for over ten years and was employed as a warehouseman at Agar Supply Distribution Center in Taunton. He loved music, skiing and played the guitar. Beloved son of Peter K. and Jane (Coughlin) Doyle of Monument Beach. Loving brother of Kristin Clifford Murphy and her husband Michael of Milton and Catherine Zinck and her husband Brian of Melrose. Uncle of Matthew, Jack, Ryan, Colin, Grace, Brendan and Audrey. Nephew of Andrew and Margaret Coughlin and Mary Kay and Richard Whitmore. Peter is also survived by many cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary of the Hills Church, 29 St. Mary’s Road, Milton, Monday January 24 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Kensley L. Dimmott

Kensley L. Dimmott, a chef, died at Massachusetts General Hospital after a period of failing health, Sunday January 9, 2011. He was 63 years old. Born in Barbados, he served on the Cayman Islands Police Force for four years and returned to Barbados. Mr. Dimmott immigrated to Boston in the 1970’s and sought out classes to pursue his passion of cooking. He worked as sous chef and then executive chef at the Lenox, Colonnade, Park Plaza and Hilton Hotels. In 2005 he transitioned to The Massachusetts General Hospital cooking staff. Beloved father of Kensley L. Dimmott Jr., Kerwin Dimmott and Rohan Dimmott. Brother of Diana Dimmott of New York and MacDonald Dimmott of Barbados. Mary Grace Adams

Mary Grace Adams, age 96, of Milton, formerly of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 15, 2011.

She was a volunteer in many organizations in Michigan and nationally including the YWCA, American Association of University Women and Grosse Pointe Memorial Church. As a senior citizen, she also volunteered in a kindergarten classroom in Grosse Pointe. Mary Grace also enjoyed travelling around the U.S. as well as the world.

Loving and devoted mother of Charles and his wife Kathryn of Kinnelon, NJ and Martha Jane “Marti” of Milton, MA. Also survived by 3 granddaughters and 7 great-grandchildren. She was the wife of Frederick William who passed away in 1990.

A Memorial Service will be held at Milton Healthcare, 1200 Brush Hill Rd, Milton at 1:30PM on Friday, January 28, 2011. Friends and family are invited.

Robert S. Price

Robert S. Price, formerly of Quincy, died on January 6, 2011 He was the beloved husband of Solange Goncalves –DaSilva Price of Charlestown. Son of Linda M. Price of Weymouth and the late Allan Price. Also survived by 3 children. Brother of Paul Price of Boston, Troy Stewart of Hull, Earl Stewart of Hull and the late William Price and Marilyn Gallagher. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St. DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Friday, Jan. 21 at 1:00PM. Robert will be sorely missed.

Robert Emmet Dinsmore

Robert Emmet Dinsmore, age 31, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Milton, MA, beloved son of Jane Dinsmore of Arizona and Christopher Byrne and his wife Caroline of Weymouth. Brother of Chris Byrne of Idaho. Also survived by his grandmothers: Helen Dinsmore of Florida and Teresa Byrne of Weymouth and several aunts, uncles and cousins. James F. Metzler

James F. Metzler, 92, of Milton, died on Jan. 16, 2011.  He was a late member of the Dorchester Lower Mills Knights of Columbus Council #180, the South Boston Yacht Club, MFYC, and the Castle Island Associates. James retired from the MBTA after 38 years of employment. He was an avid gardener and a Red Sox fan. The beloved husband of the late Ernestine A. (Childers) Metzler, he was the loving father of Jeanne M. Kelley and her husband Gerald of Braintree and James A. Metzler and his wife Sarah Ashton of  Florida. Grandfather of Kim M. Lockwood, Robert J. Kelley and Kevin M. Geezil. Brother of the late Albert  and Robert Metzler and Claire Magner. James is also survived by 8 great grandchildren. Michael F. “Frank” Connolly

Michael F. “Frank” Connolly, a retired Command Sergeant Major in the United States Army Reserves, died at Beverly Hospital Tuesday, January 11, 2011. He was 84 years old.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Somerville and graduated from Medford High School. Frank entered the United States Army and served during World War II. After being honorably discharged, he worked at the Army base in South Boston as a civilian employee and later for the Massachusetts State Lottery. He also served in the Army Reserves, retiring after 48 years.

Frank was a dedicated softball coach for the Koch Club in Quincy and a member of the Morrisette American Legion Post 294 and Bryant VFW Post 61, both in Quincy. He was also a longtime usher at Saint Mary’s Church, West Quincy.

Beloved husband of the late Susan (Parsons) Connolly. Loving father of Eileen Manzano of Ipswich and the late Margaret M. Mason. Grandfather of Erin Mason, James T. Mason and Erica Manzano. Brother of Dorothy McGlauflin of West Roxbury, William Connolly, Elaine McCarthy and Bernice “Bunny” Follen, all of Dennis, Marie Shea and the late Jane Horan.

David J. McCarthy, Jr.

David J. McCarthy Jr., of Quincy, a retired engineer for the City of Boston, died at Radius Specialty Hospital, Quincy, Wednesday January 12, 2011.  Born in Cambridge, Mr. McCarthy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the beloved husband of Mary F. “Maisie” (Halpin) and the late Josephine R. (Warren) McCarthy. Loving father of David J. McCarthy III of Raynham, Joseph F. McCarthy of Hudson, NH. and Paul J. McCarthy of Weymouth. Stepfather of Maureen and George Kilroy and Karen Fahey. Brother of the late Frederick McCarthy. David is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Daniel F. McLean

Daniel F. McLean, formerly of Jamaica Plain, died on January 10, 2011. Mr. McLean was a WWII US Army Veteran and worked as former Inspector with the City of Boston, Real Property Division.

He was the loving father of Donna Amadeo of Brewster, Peggy Geaney of Stoughton, Pamela Francis of Braintree, Susan McLean of Chelsea, Patty McGrath of Plymouth, Daniel McLean of Dorchester, Nancy Chace of Walpole, and David McLean of Falmouth. Brother of Mary Scagnoli of So. Boston and  the late Gloria Maher.  Dan is also survived by his former wife Margaret McLean of Walpole, 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
