Moliere Saint-Fleur, a service manager, died at Signature Brockton Hospital, Friday February 4, 2011. He was 65 years old. Born in Jacmel, Haiti, he was a longtime Boston resident. Mr. Saint-Fleaur was a service manager at Boch Toyota. Beloved husband of Marie Germita (Adelson) Saint-Fleur. Father of Jean Mills Saint-Fleur, Molky Saint-Fleur, Molvita Saint-Fleur, Marjorie Saint-Fleur, Myrto Saint-Fleur, Guerda Saint-Fleur, Harvey Saint-Fleur and Rosemyrtha Venette Saint-Fleur. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, 2215 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, Saturday February 12 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Loua Gordene Everett

Loua Gordene Everett, of Boston, January 25, 2011. A life-long resident of Boston, Gordene (or “Billie” to those who knew her in childhood) passed from this earth having completed her 88th year in November, 2010. In accordance with her wishes, her own ashes will be interred with the ashes of her beloved West Highland Terriers, “Dusty” and “Pip”, in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett with Gordene’s parents. Miss Everett earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern University and a Masters Degree from New York University. After a few years as the assistant to a senior partner at a Boston law firm, she served for decades as an English teacher at North Quincy High School. In addition to her abiding interest in West Highland Terriers, Miss Everett was a loyal neighbor of the Ashmont Hill community in Dorchester, traveled extensively including several trips abroad, was a veteran mountain climber and hiker (AMC), as well as a loyal supporter of the Boston Symphony and Museum of Fine Arts. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at The Parish of All Saints, 209 Ashmont Street, Dorchester.

Alda Rodrigues Oliveira

Alda Rodrigues Oliveira died at Caritas Carney Hospital, Dorchester, suddenly Sunday February 6, 2011. She was 79 years old.

Born in Fogo, Cape Verde, she moved to Boston many years ago. Daughter of the late Conrado J. and Balbina Rodrigues Goncalves. Wife of the late Mario Oliveira. Beloved mother of Joao Oliveira, DelFino Oliveira, Manuel Oliveira, Candida Oliveira, Maria Oliveira, Maria Afonso, Balbina Barbosa and the late Philipe Oliveira. Grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Patrick Church, Dudley Street at Blue Hill Avenue, Roxbury, Thursday February 10 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Milton Crossman Clark

Milton Crossman Clark, 65, a resident of Buckland, Mass. died on Dec. 31, 2010. Survivors include Kim Edwards of Hadley, Casey Kotright-Clark of Heath, Oliver Clark of Shelburne and Fletcher Clark of Shelburne as well as six grandchildren.

Interment will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery,  Bourne, MA Thursday February 10, 2011 at 1:00pm.

Vincent J. Cosgrove

Vincent J. Cosgrove, a retired equipment installer, died at the Stanley Tippett Hospice House, Needham, Tuesday February 1, 2011. He was 69 years old.

Born and raised in Dorchester, he was a graduate of BC High School. Mr. Cosgrove went to work for New England Telephone and Telegraph as an equipment installer. He served in Vietnam for the United States Army and later returned to the phone company. He retired in 1993 after over 25 years.

A resident of Quincy, he formerly lived in Sharon.

Father of Susan E. Donnellan of Newton, Paul J. Cosgrove of Fitchburg and Andrew R. Cosgrove of Lancaster. Grandfather of four. Brother of Kathleen Wood of Plymouth, Martin Cosgrove of Plymouth, Mary Lane of New Jersey, Francis Cosgrove of Dorchester, Dennis Cosgrove of Sharon, Eileen Keeney of Quincy, Fr. Joseph Cosgrove of Edgewater, MD, Teresa McMorrow of Sharon, Michael Cosgrove of Plymouth and the late Virginia Manoli and Walter Cosgrove.

Michael James “Jim” Connolly

Michael James “Jim” Connolly, 80, of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester and South Dennis, died at Quincy Medical Center, Quincy, Sunday January 30, 2011.

Born and raised in Dorchester, Jim graduated from English High School and joined the US Air Force. Upon his return from the service in 1956, Jim went to work for The New England Telephone and Telegraph Company and he was employed there until his retirement 37 years later.

Jim was involved in St. Brendan’s Cub Scouts in Dorchester where he received the Silver Beaver Award for his volunteer efforts. He also was a volunteer manager for St. Ann Church’s Junior Band in the Neponset section of Dorchester for many years.

Jim served on the Board of Directors for Project Hope, a charity run by the Little Sisters of the Assumption in Boston. Project Hope provides shelter, low-income housing and a food pantry.

After his retirement from the telephone company, Jim moved to South Dennis in Cape Cod for 11 years where he was a member of the Irish American Club.

Beloved husband of the late Delorise (Spencer) Connolly. Father of Mark Connolly and his wife Roberta of Waltham, Eileen L. Connolly of Quincy and the late Patricia Scoville. Father-in-law of Shawn Scoville and grandfather of Michael and Kristen Scoville, all of Norwell. Brother of Father Mark Connolly of Stamford, CT and the late Mary Martin, Francis Connolly, and Kathleen McLaughlin. Uncle of William and James McLaughlin and Claire and John Martin.

Charles J. “Charlie” McCarthy

Charles J. “Charlie” McCarthy, of Quincy, passed away on January 25, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Charlie is survived by his treasured wife of 55 years, Audrey (Frye) McCarthy, and was the devoted father of Claire McCarthy-Gul of GA, Neil McCarthy of Randolph, Jean McCarthy of Quincy, Paul McCarthy of Mansfield, and Anne McCarthy-Jacobson of Rockland. He was the cherished Papa of Colleen, Erin, Shannon, Chloe, Lily, Ross, and Sophie McCarthy, and the much loved father-in-law of Mamie, Marianne, Erik, and Rahim. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Charlie retired in 2002 from Ris Paper Co. where he worked for 59 years as a salesman. Since then, he has devoted his time as a volunteer at the Massachusetts General Hospital Yawkey 8 Infusion Unit, which he loved. He was a proud U.S. Marine who served in the Korean War, and was awarded a Purple Heart. He actively supported the USMC until his death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 31, 2011 in St. Agatha Church, Milton, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Arthur R. Gurney, 76, of Hull, formerly of Hanover and Milton, January 25, 2011. Husband of June (Perucich) Gurney. Loving father of Brian and his wife Amy of Hanson, Mark and his wife Sandy of Whitman, Lauren of Hanover and the late Steven. Willy Prinston, a chef at Skipjack’s Restaurant, died at Saint Joseph Nursing Care Center, Dorchester, Wednesday January 19, 2011. He was 57 years old. Carla J. (Larson) Histen

Carla J. (Larson) Histen, a homemaker, of East Sandwich, formerly of Quincy, died at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Saturday January 22, 2011.

Born in Boston, Mrs. Histen graduated from Dorchester High School in 1965. She enjoyed creating holiday crafts, gardening and was an avid reader. Mrs. Histen was a member of St. Mary’s Altar Guild. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of Albert F. Histen, Jr. Loving mother of Albert F. Histen III and his wife Caroline of Quincy and Rebecca A. McGillivray and her husband Glenn of Quincy. Devoted grandmother of Emily, Erika, A.J. and Molly. Aunt of Peter J. Connolly of Quincy. Sister of the late Deborah L. Stack. Daughter of the late Donald W. and Dorothy Ann (Seelhorst) Larson.
