Jane E. (Linehan) McArdle

Jane  E. (Linehan) McArdle, on October 31, 2013,  of Dorchester and Onset.   Beloved wife of the late Charles E. McArdle.   Daughter of the late John J. and Ann (Buckley) Linehan.  Sister of the late John H. “Jack” Linehan. Mother of Chuck R. McArdle and his wife Jen of Dorchester, Carol A. Peterson of Jamaica Plain , Susan E. Lavin of Worcester and Joan P. Griffin and her husband Dan of Franklin.   Also survived by nine grandchildren, one great grandchild , three cousins  and  several nieces and nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Brendan Church, 598  Gallivan Blvd. Dorchester on Friday, November 8 at 10:00 AM.  Relatives and friends invited.   Visitation 8:30-9:30 AM prior in Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Ave., MILTON VILLAGE. Interment  Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 PM.  Former employee New England Telephone.

 

Aurthurton John Christopher

Christopher, ArthurtonArthurton John Christopher of Mattapan, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday 24 October, 2013 at the age of 65 at the Mt. Auburn Hospital. He was the son of Randolph Christopher and Althea Charles (both deceased) of Dominica, West Indies and the proud father of Anthony Christopher of Connecticut.

He has left to mourn his brothers Erickson, Oliver, Lenox, Stephen, Bernard, Ronnie, Ezard, Syl, and sisters Cyrilla, Pamela, Francisca, and Lovely Christopher. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law Jenny and Emmanuella Christopher, uncles Ray, Denis, Denton, Victor and Chesterfield Christopher, and aunts Ishvella and Jane Christopher and Ezard Racamy.Cousins Marcella Meade, Sandra Volney, Rosmond Joseph, Cyrilla Hector and others too numerous to mention. Nieces Krista, Soraya and Chanda Christopher, grandniece Nisara and nephew Alton Christopher. Other survivors includes Claudette Guye, mother of his only son.

He will be remembered by his close friends Auldrick and June Anselm, Joseph White and family, Clem and Christine Prosper, Vivian Rene, Cecile Joseph, Sonny Vidal,  Gifford and Regina Walsh, Augustus Griffith,  Emmanuel Guye, Jones Peter, Albert Richards, Edward Jarvis, Edmond Tavernier, John Julien and the staff of the Sheraton Hotel. Special mention of his friends Dee, Singh and Emilia Jolly and family.

Funeral service for the l will be held Saturday, November 9, in the Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Ave. MILTOM VILLAGE, at NOON. Visitation 11-12pm.

Kenneth J. Cronin of Mattapan, on November 1, 2013.  Beloved husband of the late Joan E. ( Osgood) Cronin.    Son of the late Francis L. and lizabeth T. Cronin of Valdosta, GA, Philip Cronin of Montgomery, AL and the late Stephen Cronin. Mark E. O’Sullivan

O'Sullivan, Marko

Mark E. “Marko” O’Sullivan of Boulder, CO, passed away after a brief  illness on October 30, 2013. Mark was the beloved son of Paul and Margaret (Mooney) O’Sullivan of Milton, brother of Dianne Montefusco of Cohasset and the late Paul Jr. He is also survived by his cherished nephew and niece, Matthew and Emma Montefusco and by his many close friends from Ohio Wesleyan and the Boulder community. Mark grew up in Milton and has lived in Boulder for the past 27 years, enjoying skiing and snow boarding in the Rockies and cycling in the foothills.

Mark attended The Landmark School in Beverly, Cushing Academy in Ashburnham and Ohio Wesleyan University.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Church of Saint Elizabeth, Reedsdale Rd at Randolph Ave., Milton, Tuesday, November 5 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation Monday 4-8 PM at Dolan Funeral  Home, 460 Granite Ave. EAST MILTON.  Interment Private. Stephen Dewey Randall

Stephen D. Randall, of Milton, formerly  of Falmouth Foreside, ME, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29th after a battle with lung cancer.  He was the beloved husband of Leslie S. Randall, loving brother of Lynde C. Randall of Yarmouth, ME, the late Clinton D. Randall of New Gloucester, ME, brother-in-law to Kathy Lanphere of South Bend, IN, and Diane Randall of Mechanics Falls, ME.  Steve was the devoted father of Stephanie C. Randall of Braintree, Richard Randall and his wife Marianne of Walpole and Sandra Dunnington and her husband George of Milton.  He is also survived by six grandchildren; Morgan Randall and her husband Michael Hurwitz, Rachel Randall, Jason and Alicia Burgess, Samuel and Annabel Dunnington, three grand-dogs and three grand-cats.

Steve was a proud member of the US Navy before becoming an accountant and devoted employee of Duane’s Lumberyard in Quincy, MA.  He continued there until he started his own vending business in 1980.  Additionally, he served on the Board of Directors of the South Shore Recovery Home for many years and actively volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and the Milton Food Pantry.  Steve could also very often be found helping others in the neighborhood with whatever their needs might be – from handyman specials to snow blowing driveways.

Steve grew up on the water and had a deep love for sailing and any type of boating.  He and his wife were active members of the South Shore Yacht Club for many years, until trading their motor boat for a camping 5th wheel trailer and traveling around the country.  They enjoyed many wonderful trips in their 50 wonderful years of marriage.

Nicolas Elas passed away on October 27, 2013. Beloved husband of Denise Elas. Loving father to Carole, Gerard, Ghislaine, Nicole, Soeurette LaForce, Jocelyne, Eddy, Carline, Nicolas and Ersule Helas. Nicolas will also be missed by his grandchildren Jerry, Ralph, Patrick, Derek, Martin, Marionye, Jessica and Carlens. He is also survived by his brother Antoine Elas and many nieces and nephews. FOLAN – Mark, Age 79, of Dorchester, October 24, 2013. Beloved son of the late Patrick and Mary (Higgins) Folan. Loving brother of Bridie McDonagh of Connemara, Ireland, Coleman Folan of CA, Nora McDonagh and Bartley Folan both of Co. Meath, Ireland, Monica Moroney of Co. Kerry, Ireland, Barbara Glennon, Agnes Woodrow, and Philomena Daly all of London, England and the late Patrick Folan, Mary Mulkerrins, Nan Connolly, Sean Folan and Una Calnan. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mark grew up and was educated in Ireland. In 1971 he immigrated to the United States spending the first two years in Boston, he then traveled to California and spent 30 plus years there returning to the Boston area in 2003. Mark was a retired union carpenter. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth Church, Randolph Avenue at Reedsdale Road, Milton, Wednesday October 30 at 10:00 AM.
