Stephen Dewey Randall
Stephen D. Randall, of Milton, formerly of Falmouth Foreside, ME, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29th after a battle with lung cancer. He was the beloved husband of Leslie S. Randall, loving brother of Lynde C. Randall of Yarmouth, ME, the late Clinton D. Randall of New Gloucester, ME, brother-in-law to Kathy Lanphere of South Bend, IN, and Diane Randall of Mechanics Falls, ME. Steve was the devoted father of Stephanie C. Randall of Braintree, Richard Randall and his wife Marianne of Walpole and Sandra Dunnington and her husband George of Milton. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Morgan Randall and her husband Michael Hurwitz, Rachel Randall, Jason and Alicia Burgess, Samuel and Annabel Dunnington, three grand-dogs and three grand-cats.
Steve was a proud member of the US Navy before becoming an accountant and devoted employee of Duane’s Lumberyard in Quincy, MA. He continued there until he started his own vending business in 1980. Additionally, he served on the Board of Directors of the South Shore Recovery Home for many years and actively volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and the Milton Food Pantry. Steve could also very often be found helping others in the neighborhood with whatever their needs might be – from handyman specials to snow blowing driveways.
Steve grew up on the water and had a deep love for sailing and any type of boating. He and his wife were active members of the South Shore Yacht Club for many years, until trading their motor boat for a camping 5th wheel trailer and traveling around the country. They enjoyed many wonderful trips in their 50 wonderful years of marriage.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the family and know you are in my thoughts. Stephen was one of the kindest men I have known and he will be missed very much.
Stephen was a warm, friendly and welcoming person who I only knew for a brief period, but whom I will remember for the rest of my life. He was a great role model for being a hard working, caring and giving person and I am sure his volunteer work will be missed. Most importantly, he had a wonderful influence on his family and they are testaments to his personal example. May his memory be a source of comfort and continued inspiration to the entire Randall family.
A wonderful man who gave so much to his family, friends and community. Special thoughts and special prayers for a special man and his special family!
My sincerest sympathy for you and your family. Steve was a great help to me around Bert’s Boat Yard and gave me many pointers on sailing.
Rest In Peace,

Dear Leslie, Rick and Stephanie,
What a beautiful story of Steve’s life. We are so very sorry to learn of Steve’s passing. We have many fond memories of the times we spent together “back in the day” whether it was in and around the Cunningham Park area where we all lived or on the floats at South Shore Yacht Club. Please know that our loving thoughts are with you.

Leslie,
My heart goes out to you and your family. Steve was a wonderful guy and he will be missed by all who knew him – he was always helping out somewhere and never complained about it. My prayers are with you at this time. I wish I could do more but I just got out of the hospital myself. Barbara Craig
My heart-felt condolences to all the family. There is little you can say at such a time as this. Feelings seem to stick close to your heart. Regrettably distance made a closer relationship very difficult but nonetheless I cherish the all too brief times I spent with cousin Stephen.
He will be missed by many.
