I as well as my family in Waterford, Prince Edward Island wish our condolence to the family of Stephen MacDonald. He was a great friend of the family when he came to the island to visit; not only a friend but a relative of ours. Waterford will truly miss his yearly visits in the summer and to see his jeep parked beside the house on the hill in Skinners Pond. On Behalf of my sister Geraldine, my brothers Alvin and Walter I send our condolence. He was indeed a wonderful person and a true friend. Fr. Roy Shea,
Our sympathy goes to the MacDonald family. Your Dad had a full life and lucky to have his own private nurse in Jean.
We enjoyed sharing our Boat stories with him.

Stephen will be missed during our summer stays on the island. Our ties to Rumford, ME., our talks on Sunday morning in the church parking lot and a cup of tea in our old Ellsworth family farm..
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Stephens family.
Prayers are in my heart for the MacDonald family. Stephen was the last of four brothers MacDonald.
He had a long and prosperous life and I will miss his sense of humor.
Love, Carol (niece of Stephen and daughter of the late brother, Peter MacDonald)
I’ve lived at Winter Valley for 18 years, and when Stephen moved in , I started a growing rapport with him; joking with him , ribbing him about going out at night , teasing him about sneaking out on dates, etc . He was a very sweet ,likable man who could drive the heck out of his truck!
I will miss him tremendously and am sorry to be out of town at this time,
Jean. My heart is heavy , and I wish I could do something for you .My sympathies and prayers are with you and the rest of the family at this time.
Rest In Peace my friend .
I was only recently informed of Grampy’s passing and more recently found the obituary. It is tragic and honestly struck me in ways I cannot even put into words. He was a very loving man, and very devoted to his family, all the while maintaining a feel of an ornery old sailor. He was the reason for so many good choices I made in my life, and had my young teenage self just shut up and listened for half a second I could have done so much more much earlier. While I would like to say I raised my glass to him, that would be a slap in the face to his memory and everything he stood for, so I remained sober and will push forward to honor his memory and make good on every single promise I made to him.
