Cliff spent his early years in Dorchester followed by his family moving to Milton where he remained to raise his own family with Louise M. DiTullio whom he married October 4, 1952.

Cliff was a graduate of Boston College High School. After graduating in 1944, he joined the Navy serving in California during World War II. Upon his return in 1946, Cliff went to Boston College studying economics and graduated in 1950 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

In 1948, Cliff obtained his insurance license and founded the DiTullio Insurance Agency, Inc. After graduating from college, Cliff worked for a time in the construction business. This eventually led to his full-time focus of insurance services to his friends in the construction industry.

Cliff enjoyed life to the fullest. He bought his first plane at eighteen and  later learned to fly helicopters. He spent many happy times with Louise and their five children, Diane, Richard, Roy, Peter and Paul, sharing his hobbies of flying, skiing, snowmobiling and golfing.

While Louise remained on the ground until their children were grown, Cliff buzzed the sky above her. While Louise stayed at the foot of the ski slopes to tend to everyone’s needs, Cliff led his line of five children up and down the slopes. Cliff later bought Louise her first set of golf clubs and their competition on the course began.

Cliff lived to make everyone laugh and none laughed more with him than his five children and his ten grandchildren, Christopher, John, Emily, Paige, Hana, Corinne, Evan, Lauren, Timothy and Kate who called him “Nono”.

Upon his retirement, Cliff became a resident of Boca Raton, Fl, and summered in Milton. Cliff was a former Milton Rotary Club President and member of The Country Club at Boca Raton, FL and Wollaston Golf Club, Milton.

Margaret M. Hoy

Hoy, Margaret for website onlyMargaret Mary (Kimpton) Hoy, 87, of Milton and Braintree Massachusetts, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, August 16, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was united in marriage on August 5, 1950, to Robert L. Hoy Sr., who survives and deeply misses her.  She is also survived and missed by her six children and their spouses: Rob Hoy and his wife, Gale, of Westerly, Rhode Island, Ellen “Suddi” St. Ives of Milton, Cindi Vogel and her husband, Bill, of Bedford, New Hampshire, Mike Hoy and his wife, Lisa, of Taunton, Patti Reilly and her husband Steve of Milton, Pete Hoy and his wife, Sue, of Milton, and “Brown” Sue Hoy of Taunton. Peg was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Sydney, her brothers, George and Edward, and her sister, Catherine.

Peg was born and spent her early life in Hingham, Massachusetts. She was just a teenager when her sister-in-law arranged a blind date with her future husband Bob. They married five years later and shared 64 years of marriage.

As a child, Peg learned to act and sing in community theatre, and she went on to perfect her beautiful singing voice through classical training at Julliard. She was all too happy to share these natural gifts with others and could still fill a room with lovely music at the age of 87. She was also a prolific reader of mystery novels, a practiced knitter, and active member in the Milton Bowling league and the Milton Women’s Club.

Peg and Bob and their growing family spent whole summers at the family beach house in Hull, MA. Peg was equally comfortable behind the wheel of a boat or tagging closely behind on water skis. She and Bob shared a love for the water. For them, experiencing a beautiful sunset over the bay from their front porch never got old.

In her later years Peg and Bob would often vacation in Florida, and she took up golf to spend more quality time with her love, Bob. To no one’s surprise other than her own, she scored a hole-in-one at Rockland, which trophy Bob and she prominently displayed in a place of honor in their home.

Throughout her life, Peg remained true to Christian ideals to share her time and talent generously. Among her good works, she served as a Cub and Girl Scout leader for many years and worked with the elderly through the Meals on Wheels program.

Peg encouraged her family to work hard and cherish their time on this Earth. She could proudly name all 17 of her grandchildren and all 19 of her great-grandchildren, and she celebrated each academic, athletic, professional and family achievement. She sustained and imparted this personal pride and cheerleading through three generations.

Peg was uniquely capable of looking at life with bemusement and could be counted on to brighten each adventure and challenge with her ever-present smile and sunny disposition. Her wit, charm and grace made her home a haven not only to family, but also to friends, young and old.  She loved her God, her husband and her family, each with equal vigor. She will be missed but not forgotten.

Peg’s family would like to thank the staff and management at Grove Manor in Braintree for their remarkable care and extraordinary kindness. They also express their gratitude to Ascend Hospice for their support and compassion during Peg’s final challenges.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Agatha’s Church, Milton, Wednesday at 10:30 am. Visiting hours will be held at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue in East Milton Square on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
