Alice E. McHugh
Alice E. (Ingersoll) McHugh, former Commonwealth of Massachusetts State House employee in the early 1960’s, passed away suddenly in the early morning of August 23, 2014 at the age of 81. She was the loving mother of her four children; James F. McHugh and his wife Karen of Mansfield, Richard L. McHugh of Mattapan, Linda A. McHugh of Mattapan, and Susan A. Francis and her husband John of Marstons Mills. Alice was also sister to five siblings; Jean Pratt of Halifax, Frank W. Ingersoll Jr. of Rhode Island, Marie McHugh of Halifax, Paul J. Ingersoll of Norwood, and Doris T. Brock of Milton. She also leaves behind her ten grandchildren James McHugh Jr., Jared McHugh, Sarah McHugh, Jason McHugh, Alicyn McHugh, John Francis, Michael Francis, Kyle Francis, Nicole Francis, and Courtney Francis. Alice was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 8699 in Dorchester Lower Mills. We are all sure that as she loved to do in her younger days, she is dancing away in heaven. A Funeral Service Wednesday August 27 at 5:00 PM in Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Avenue, MILTON VILLAGE. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 2 – 5 PM. Interment private.
