Beloved wife of 68 years of John J. Puleo (Ret. Det. Sgt., BPD). Loving mother of Sr. Marie J. Puleo MFIC of Rome, Italy, John J. Puleo Jr and his wife Lorraine of Braintree and Kathy Coughlin and her husband Michael of Dorchester. Grandmother of Nicholas Puleo, Matthew Puleo, James Coughlin, Joseph Coughlin and Mary Coughlin and great-grandmother of Sam and Maeve Puleo. Sister of the late Evelyn Tiberi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Brendan Church, 589 Gallivan Boulevard, Dorchester, Friday September 15 at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Thursday 3-8 PM. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.

Frederick F. Foley

Frederick F. Foley, of Dorchester, died peacefully, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer, Tuesday September 12, 2017.

Beloved husband of Helen (Emde) Foley. Devoted father of Frederick J. Foley of Dorchester, Karen H. Foley and her spouse Jeanmarie, of PA, Donna M. Buker and her husband David of N. Attleboro, Brian Foley of Boston, Gregg Foley and his fiancé Dee of Dorchester and Gerald Foley and his wife Janet of FL. Dear brother of Lucille Foley and Mary Cook both of Quincy, Selena Kinman of Rockland, and Joseph Foley of Gardiner, and the late Teresa Foley, Barbara Foley and Robert Foley. Brother in Law of Robert Emde of Canton & Edward Emde of Wilmington and the late Sonny, Gigi and Jerry Emde. Loving grandfather of 10 and 1 great granddaughter.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, 2223 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, Saturday September 16 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours at Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Avenue, MILTON VILLAGE, Friday 4 – 8 pm.  Interment Private.

Thomas Leo O’Donnell

Thomas Leo O’Donnell, of Milton, at the age of 64 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer, Monday September 11, 2017.

Tom was born in Lowell, MA and was a long time Milton resident. He graduated from Keith Academy and went on to earn a Degree in Business from UMass Lowell.  Tom worked for many years in the biotech field until his retirement.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Sheila (Cummings) of 41 years. Son of the late Thomas O’Donnell and Alice O’Donnell, is lovingly remembered by his children Michael O’Donnell and his wife, Jordan, of Milton and Allison White and her husband Michael, of Westwood, his siblings Mary Beth Callery and her husband, Richard, of Lowell, Elaine Hopper of Mount Laurel, New Jersey and John O’Donnell and his fiance, Jocelyn, of Nashua, New Hampshire. Tom enjoyed cheering on Boston sport teams, playing golf and spending summers on Cape Cod with his friends and family. Most of all, he was a proud “papa” and loved spending time with his four grandchildren Aidan, Teagan, Quinn, and Ailis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, Adams Street at Brook Road, Milton, Friday September 15 at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours at  Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Avenue, MILTON VILLAGE, Thursday 4-8 pm. Interment to follow at Milton Cemetery.

Helen F. McDonald

Helen F. (Fitzsimons) McDonald, of Milton, formerly of White Horse Beach and Dorchester, passed away on Monday September 11, 2017.

Born and raised in Dorchester, Helen became a resident of Plymouth for over 30 years, moved to Milton  in 2000, and finally to Marian Manor in  South Boston in 2013 where she resided until her death.

Helen started her career working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a secretary for the Commissioner of Public Welfare. From there, she worked in many different positions, including Massachusetts Cooperative Bank and Emmanuel College.  In 1973, she became a member of the Mayflower Plymouth Chapter of the A.A.R.P. Helen served as Secretary for the Chapter for 2 years, she was Assistant State Director, State Director and finally serving on the National Board of Directors for A.A.R.P. from 1984 – 1990.

Helen also volunteered for many organizations including the Girl Scouts, American Red Cross, Jordan Hospital, The National Parent Aide Association, Member of the Plymouth Council on Aging, Retired Federal Employees, served on the Retired Persons Service Board of Directors.

She was the beloved wife of the late John A. McDonald. Sister of the late Sr. Mary Fitzsimons, F.S.P. and William J. Fitzsimons. Aunt of Mary Bono of East Falmouth, Kathleen Cullinan of North Andover, Ann Sullivan of Holliston, Joan Fitzsimons of Quincy, Maureen Dunn of Plymouth, Elizabeth Fitzsimons of North Weymouth, Harriet Swett, Joseph Swett and the late Virginia Colbert, all of Plymouth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Bonaventure Church, 803 State Road, Plymouth, Thursday, September 14 at 11:00 AM. Visitation at the Church from 10 to 11 AM  Interment Manomet Cemetery.

Sara G. Corcoran

Corcoran, Sara G. (Grady) Corcoran, of Boston died surrounded by her loving family September 7, 2017.

Beloved wife of Leo J. Corcoran of Boston. Loving mother of Leo S. Corcoran and his wife Alison and Margaret E. Corcoran-Seitz and her husband Eric all of Boston. Cherished daughter of Paul G. and Lois Grady of West Harford, Connecticut. Sister of Paul G. Grady Jr., Brendan B. Grady, and Margaret S. McCrudden all of West Hartford, Connecticut.

Sara was born and raised  in West Hartford, Connecticut.  She graduated from Boston College with the class of 1982. While attending college, Sara met Leo and together they built the most wonderful life.

She woke everyday thrilled by the possibility of what a new day could bring. She was fearless and always said yes to life without a moment’s hesitation. She lived her life by being true to herself and by giving herself to others; she nurtured and bettered all who came across her path. She lived and loved deeply and fiercely.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday September 13 at 11AM in Saint Ignatius Church, 28 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467. Interment will be held at a later date.

Joseph W. Murray, of Milton died September 7, 2107.

Beloved husband of the late Marie L. Murray. Loving father of Michael Murray and his wife Elizabeth Gallagher of Carver and Kristen Murray and her husband Robert Carlson of Marshfield. Grandfather of Joseph Murray, William Murray, Daniel Murray, and Saskia Carlson.

Rosemary Nimley

Rosemary Nimley, of Dorchester, passed away September 1, 2017. Beloved mother of Andre Redman and Enisioh Nimley. Loving grandmother of Nicolette  and Ashli Chambers. Adrienne Dixon

Adrienne Michelle Dixon passed away on August 31, 2017. She was born on August 14, 1963 and raised by our late mother Margaret Alice (Dixon) McKnight in Boston, Mass. and was the first of three children. She attended the Patrick O’Hearn Elementary School, William Howard Taft Middle School, and graduated from Brighton High School in 1982, and received a full track scholarship at Morgan State University. Adrienne has worked at the VA Boston Healthcare Systems Jamaica Plain Campus for 29 years. She was a founding member of the Boston Divaz Motorcycle Club, loved to bowl with the Traveling League, Boston Rhythm & Bowling, Pepsi Match, TNBA-Secretary, and Neponset Doubles.

Adrienne leaves to cherish in her memory, her brother, John McKnight and Sister Maria (Toni) McKnight, four nephews Noah McKnight, John McKnight Jr., Amyas McKnight, and Nehemiah McKnight. She also leaves her Aunt Jean Pride, Uncle Clifford Dixon, Uncle Bobby Dixon, and first cousins Doreen, Jeanne, Tracie, Robin, and Sonya Dixon. As well as second generation cousins, her god daughter, co-workers, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held at PENTECOSTALS OF BOSTON, 1205A Hyde Park Avenue, Hyde Park, MA on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Viewing 10:00 AM. Services are 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Louise L. Roderick

Louise L. Roderick, age 93, of Milton and Fort Lauderdale , Florida, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family while in the care of Hospice, Monday, September 4. 2017.

Louise was the loving daughter of the late Philip and Agnes (LaMattina) Ferrera whom immigrated from Sicily in 1908 and settled in the North End of Boston when they started their family.  On July 3, 1948 she would marry the love of her life, Francis J. Roderick. The two would settle in Milton where Louise was a devoted mother and homemaker and later when her family were grown she worked at Rust Craft Greeting Cards and a ten year career with Gold Seal Rubber Company.

She loved to entertain with fabulous food, love, laughter and dancing . She loved being with her family, shopping with all her girls, and in her younger years was active at St. Mary of the Hills Church in Milton, St. David’s and St Malachy’s both in Florida. She was very active in all her  communities.

Louise was the devoted wife of 66 years to the late Francis J. Roderick and loving mother of Phillip F. Roderick and his partner Michele Dennis of FL, Agnes F. Rogan and her husband James of Humarock, Francesca Roderick of Miami Beach FL, and the late Anita Carrera and her former husband James Carrera and his wife Mary of VA. Proud “Nana” of 9 grandchildren , and great grandmother of 23 and great great grandmother of  7.  Sister of Lena Carita of Abington and her late husband Joseph and sister of the late James Ferrera and his wife Mary of FL. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dolan-Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Avenue, MILTON VILLAGE, Friday September 8 at 8:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at St. Agatha Church, 432 Adams Street, Milton at 9:00am followed by a  burial at Milton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, 4-8pm at the funeral home.

Allicia Smith, of Hyde Park, passed away suddenly on August 31, 2017.

Beloved wife of Devon Smith. Cherished daughter of William Padgett II and Sandra Roberson. Loving sister of Anita Stinson, Kissie Stinson, Michelle Stinson, Sandra Stinson, Nina Stinson, Selina Stinson, William Padgett III, Tymesha Smith, Kira Cunningham and Roman Murray.
