Robert D. Linn, Jr.

Robert Linn, Jr. sadly passed away on October 16, 2018, in Maryland at the age of 73. Bob was a Graduate of Boston College. He worked in Engineering and Management positions for 43 years at Westinghouse/Northrop Grumman’s Baltimore facility. He assisted in the building of the College Station, Texas plant. His last assignment included overseeing the Quality Management of the Wedgetail system for the Air Force. He is the loving brother of Susan DiNatale (Frank); cherished uncle of Frankie DiNatale, Denise Hughes (Steven), and Lisa DiNatale. He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend Bob’s graveside service, Saturday, November 3, at Milton Cemetery, 211 Centre St, Milton (please meet at the main entrance) at 11:00 AM. Public visitation and funeral service was held previously in Maryland.

Carolyn Punch

Carolyn Punch, 76, of Milton died October 23, 2018.  Beloved daughter of the late Walter J. and Mary (Costello) Punch.  Loving sister of Virginia Hall of Norfolk, Mary Keenan of Peabody and the late Dorothea Punch.  She is also survived by her nephews and nieces Walter Keenan of Byfield, Victoria Hall of Foxboro, Lawrence Hall of Westford and Kimberly McDonagh of Norfolk.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday October 29th in Saint Mary of the Hills Church, 29 Saint Mary’s Road, Milton at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Judith Delaney Murphy

Judith Delaney Murphy, of Yarmouthport, formerly of Milton, died Monday October 22, 2018.

Born in Tewksbury and raised in Milton, Judy was a graduate of St. Gregory High School and Aquinas Junior College. She was an longtime employee of the family automobile business, the former Columbia Pontiac of Dorchester and later was employed by Walgreens Stores, where she enjoyed interacting with many loyal customers.

In her younger years, Judy was an established equestrian. She has been an active participant with both the Yarmouthport and Middleboro Senior Centers and was an avid Bingo player.

Loving mother of Maura Murphy and her husband Harrison Lee of Lakeville, Michael Murphy and his wife Kristy of Melrose and Matthew Murphy of Yarmouthport. Grandmother of Andrew, Jacoby, Isabella, Keegan and Adam. Former wife of Edward Murphy. Daughter of the late David J. and Evelyn (White) Delaney. Sister of the late Kevin White Delaney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Road, Milton, Friday October 26 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hour at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Friday 9:30-10:30 AM. Private interment will follow at Milton Cemetery.

Andrew “Andy” Williams

Andrew “Andy” E. Williams, 53, of Taunton and formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Andy grew up in Dorchester lower mills and graduated from Catholic Memorial with the class of 1983. He worked as a bridge operator for 15 years. Andy was known to be a true sports fan, following all of the local teams and rooting for them even when they were in the cellar. He was a human resource for any and all sports related statistics and willingly shared his knowledge. He was well loved and will be long remembered.

Beloved son of Dorothy (Eugene) Williams of Duxbury and the late Girard Williams. Loving brother of the late Michael Williams and his wife Joyce of Hanover. Cherished uncle of Jessica, Kristina and Ryanne Williams. Companion of Anne Marie Carey. Andy is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service for Andy will be scheduled at a later date.

Fred W. Hurley, Jr.

Fred W. Hurley, Jr. of Dorchester died on October 13, 2018.  Beloved husband of Jeannine (O’Connor) Hurley of Dorchester.  Devoted father of Dawn Hurley and her fiance Nicholas Meegan of Dorchester, Kathleen Willett and her husband Christopher of Dorchester, Fred W. Hurley, III or Dorchester and Danielle O’Neill and her husband Shawn of Braintree. Brother of Susan Dyer and her husband Richard of Lynn, Barbara Ortman of Charlotte, NC, Diane Hurley of Lynn and the late Michael Hurley.  Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday October 24, 2018 9:00am- 10:30am in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St. Dorchester lower Mills.  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00am in St. Gregory Church, Dorchester.  Cremation to follow.

Stephen J. Kelleher

Stephen J. Kelleher of Milton, and formerly of Dorchester, aged 80, died peacefully on 10/17/2018, surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late John and C. Irene (Griffin), he was raised in Dorchester. Stephen served in the US Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Holbrook. Stephen was a union member with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 103 for over 62 years and was a longtime electrician with MBTA.

Beloved husband of 43 years to Patricia (McDonough). Predeceased by his former wife Mary (Dolan), to whom he was married for 10 years. Loving brother to Sister Mary Kelleher – SND, Catherine Donovan and her husband Paul. Brother of the late John and his late wife Elizabeth (Fava). Loving father of Stephen of Milton, James and his wife Jennifer (Horgan) of Wellesley, and the late Marianne. Beloved grandfather of William and Tobey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Emmanuel D. Morency

Emmanuel Denis Morency was born in Petite Riviere De L’Artibonite, Haiti to Elise Morency and Dessaix Morency on December 12th, 1947. He attended Petit Seminaire, College St. Martial.  Emmanuel migrated to the United States in 1979.. Emmanuel was known to many as a big hearted individual, hardworking and loving man. He was a man with many talents. His trade of profession was an Agronomist, but his passion become graphic designing,owner of Ema Creations. Emmanuel worked with many different people of various cultures.To those close to him, he was a holistic healer.Emmanuel touched the lives of many. Emmanuel was a proud member of the Respectable Lodge of Les Coeurs Unis #7.

Throughout the years,Emmanuel worked hard to support his family, and accomplished his dreams and aspirations. Emmanuel was a caring and supportive person. Emmanuel will be greatly missed by family and friends.  Emmanuel was married to Mattie M. Morency. He is survived by his daughter Nancy Morency, son-in-law Jean Rubens Cerene and his loving grand- children Coby, Noah,and  Janelle. His many step-children. His siblings, Edna Paul, Mona Morency, Herve Morency, and Marie Merci Salomon.

Emmanuel had many nieces and nephews Wensly, Nemours, Ricardo and Nemline Paul, Widmarc, Lisa Duvalsaint, Rex Chevalier, Yaminah Morency, Guesly Jr., Pamela, Sathina and Claire Salomon, Murielle, Ralph Cadet and Michael Morency.

Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, on Friday, October 19 from 5-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Angela Church on Saturday at 10AM. Interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Thomas P. Connor

Thomas P. Connor, 83, of Quincy and formerly Dorchester and Randolph died peacefully October 13, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Thomas was born and raised in Dorchester.  He was a proud Navy Veteran of the Korean War.  Tom received his Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and retired from The Boston Edison after a career of over 35 years.

Thomas was a past Commodore of the Old Colony Yacht Club and a member of the Quincy Elks and American Legion.

Beloved husband of the late Carol (Donnelly) Connor.  Loving father of Thomas Connor, Jr. of Quincy, Karen Vasselian of Abington, William Connor of Randolph and Kerry Reilly and her husband Danny of Weymouth.  Grandfather of Jeannine Urquhart, Julianne, Joseph and the late Danny Vasselian.  Brother to Roger Connor and his wife Marie of Randolph, John Connor of Quincy and the late Robert Connor and twin to his late sister Ann Regan.

Tom is survived by four Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and loving friend Patti Keefe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary’s Church, West Quincy, Thursday October 18th at 10:00 AM.  Family and friends invited.  Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Wednesday from 4-8 PM.  Interment Pine Hill Cemetery.

Margaret E. (Conley) Roche

Roche, Margaret E. (Conley), age 91, of Cohasset, formerly of Milton and Dorchester died peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2018 at Sunrise of Cohasset.

Margaret was born and raised in Dorchester.  She was a graduate of the former Dorchester High School for Girls and the former Boston State Teacher’s College with a degree in Music.  Margaret received her Master’s in Education from Boston State Teacher’s College and later returned to Boston University for classes beyond her master’s degree.  Margaret was an elementary school teacher for the Boston Public Schools until she became a school psychologist in the 1960s.  She had over forty years of service in a number of Boston Public Schools.  In 1974, Margaret took a one-year sabbatical from the Boston Public Schools and attended Boston College to further her course studies in psychology.  Margaret loved to learn and loved to teach.

Margaret lived in Milton for over 50 years where she was an active member of Saint Elizabeth’s Parish and later was a member of Saint Mary’s in Hull.  Margaret was very proud of her Catholic faith.  As a young girl, Margaret was a member of the Saint Mark’s Girl Scouts and for a number of years still maintained friendships with her fellow scouts.  Margaret was an accomplished sewer, cook and baker and was noted for her famous baked alaska pies, which a few times went on fire but that did not stop Margaret from watching Julia Child.  Later in life, Margaret took up sailing and skiing.  There were many mishaps on the high seas with Margaret and a few falls on the ski slopes.  Margaret has especially enjoyed times skiing with her grandchildren and trips on the family sailboat, Agapé, having spirited and often philosophical conversations with her children, her children’s friends and her friends.  Margaret would always be ready to laugh or would send a quip your way; most, but not all, have been enjoyed.  She loved singing and was blessed with many wonderful long-time friends.

Beloved wife of the late John J. Roche, Jr., mother of John J. Roche, III and his wife Mary (Kelley) Roche of Hingham and Mary Roche of Hull.  Loving grandmother of Kelley (Roche) Ellis and her husband Ben of Hingham, John J. Roche IV of Boston, Christopher F. Roche and his fiancé, Erica Rey of San Francisco and Brian F. Roche of Hingham.  Margaret was also the great grandmother of Charlotte Ellis of Hingham.  One of four siblings, Margaret was pre-deceased by James Conley, William Conley and Marie Holtzman.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her long-time friends Eleanor Murphy and Sr. Bette Cavelli, SJM.

Services will be private.

Agnes Fanfan

Agnes Fanfan of Dorchester, age 100, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Beloved mother of Maria Rita Jules, Hoverlaw Prou, Marie Josie Prou, Marc Emmanuel Prou, AmilineMorpeau, and Nivel Morpeau.
She was preceded in death by her sons Jean-Marie Wheaton and Jean-Marie Bony Prou. She is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held Thursday, October 18,  from 5 – 8PM at the Dolan Funeral Home 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS. The Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10AM at Temple Salem SDA Church, 222 Woodrow Ave., Dorchester. Entombment at Saint Mary Cemetery in Randolph. Relatives and friends invited.
