Winifred C. Erickson

a longtime member of Covenant Congregational Church, Quincy, died peacefully Thursday March 12 at Eventide Home, Quincy, surrounded by her family. She was 91 years old.

Born and raised in Quincy, she was a graduate of Quincy High School Class of 1936 and Burdette Business School. Miss Erickson worked for Granite Trust Company for thirty-eight years. She was a lifelong member of Covenant Congregational Church and was a member of the choir, Ladies Aid Society, Naomi Society and longtime treasurer.

Beloved daughter of the late John F. and Esther (Westhrin) Erickson. Sister of John W. and his wife Ann Erickson of Quincy and the late Jean E. Demetropoulos. Aunt of Susan and her husband Jeffrey Paquette of Quincy, John and his wife Carole Erickson of Rockland and Nancy and her husband Wesley Kobayashi of CA. She is also survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Dorothea M. Punch

a retired manager, died Tuesday March 10 at her home in Milton. She was 76 years old.

Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1949, and Boston College, Class of 1957. Miss Punch was a longtime employee of New England Telephone and Telegraph, retiring in 1991 as a manager. She was a late member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Beloved daughter of the late Walter J. and Mary J. (Costello) Punch. Loving sister of Carolyn Punch of Milton, Virginia Hall of Foxboro and Mary Keenan and her husband John of Peabody. Dear friend of Richard A. Carey of Malden. She is also survived by two nieces, two nephews, three grandnieces and three grandnephews.

Ameris Hurtault

born July 5, 1973 to Avonelle Barry and James Hurtault. He attended the Jones Beaupierre School in LaPlaine. After completing school, he worked at an auto mechanic shop. He really loved his job. He would go to work early and leave late in the evening.

In 1996 he left Dominica and migrated to St. Martin, returning to Dominica two years later. He would always say ”there is no place like home”. Ameris was well known in the community, where he was called different names – Shabba and Como. He was a member of the Rising Stars Football Team. In 1998 he left Dominica for the island of St. Thomas and then migrated to the United States. He was a manufacturing technician for Braintree Laboratories.

Beloved son of Avonelle Jones Barry and her husband Vanous and James Hurtault. Brother of Myrtle, Vena, Venette, Nelline, Magdeline, Joanna, Kerry, Videlle and Linus. Uncle of Shimmah, Shamirah, Shamika, Zyannah, Kerrisha, Keri-Ann, Kara, Rihianna, Joshua and Marcus Jr. Nephew of many, including Rufus Hurtault, Culhbert Sandy, Ruthann and Lucia. Brother-in-law of Claude Langford. Godchild of Maturine Bruney and Hilius Williams.

Ameris is blessed with many wonderful friends, including Collin, Marshal, Yolan, Andra, teacher Moon, co-workers at Braintree Laboratories, Natalie, Linette, Cuthbert, Velvet, Ken, Gilbert, Niki, CC, Pimpo, Gabriel, Clem, Matin, Bianka, Betty, Ethraim and Jill.

Monica (McDonagh) Folan

a resident of Randolph, died at her home Saturday March 7, 2009. She was 81 years old.

Born and raised in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland, she was a longtime resident of London, England and moved to Milton in 1971. Mr. and Mrs. Folan moved to Randolph about ten years ago.

Beloved wife of John Folan. Loving mother of Philomena Hicks of Pacifica, CA, Una Folan of Concord, NH, John Folan of Milton, Carmel OLeary of Norwell and the late Marie A. Marshall. Devoted grandmother of Adrienne OLeary, Brian OLeary, Clare OLeary, Mollie Hicks, Sean Hicks, Aine Folan and Martin Folan. Sister of Peter McDonagh of London, England and the late Johnny McDonagh, Molly McDonagh, Martin McDonagh and Michael McDonagh. Monica is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Stephen J. Connors

a Marine Corps veteran, died suddenly, Tuesday March 3 at his home in Dorchester. He was 60 years old.

Born in Boston and raised in Hyde Park, he graduated from Hyde Park High School, Class of 1966 and attended Boston State College. He joined the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. Mr. Connors was a longtime employee of the United States Postal Service at the General Mail Facility in Boston.

Beloved son of the late John D. and Anne (McDonough) Connors. Brother of David F. and his wife Fran Connors of Dorchester and John M. Connors of North Hampton, MA. Uncle of Jeremy Connors, Bridget Pinsonneault and Matthew Connors. Stephen is also survived by several cousins and many friends.

Joselie Frejuste

died Wednesday February 25 at Marina Bay Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Quincy, after a long illness. She was 83 years old.

Born and raised in Haiti, she moved to Boston many years ago.

Wife of the late Delino Labathe. Loving mother of Jean Claude Labathe of Malden, Claudette Labathe of Haiti, Sergo Labathe and Mariette Labathe, both of Hyde Park, Magalie Labathe and Elsie Labathe, both of Boston and Evans Labathe of Milton. Joselie is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Anna M. (Doyle) Russo

of Milton, died Sunday March 1 at the William B. Rice Eventide Home, Quincy. She was 92 years old.

Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, she was a graduate of Dorchester High School and attended Wheelock College, graduating from Boston University. Mrs. Russo moved to Milton and worked in the family business, Hendries Ice Cream and late White Brothers Dairy. She later worked for Dr. William Fehrnstrom, an optometrist in East Milton Square for over fifteen years.

A longtime Milton resident, she enjoyed playing cribbage at the Milton Senior Center and was a former volunteer at the Yarmouthport Library.

Beloved wife of the late John C. Russo. Loving mother of John F. Russo of Milton, Paul E. Russo and his partner James Tice of Malden and Philip G. and his wife Virginia Russo of Raynham. Grandmother of John S. Russo and his partner Lora Ramirez, Leanne M. and her husband Adam Dennison, William C. Russo and Carolyn M. Russo. Great-grandmother of Abigail and James Dennison. Sister of Marion M. Tourville of Milton and the late Francis M. Doyle.

Mary T. (Flaherty) Santry

of Milton, formerly a resident of of Dorchester, died on February 28, 2009.

Born in Boston, Mrs. Santry was a graduate of St. Augustine High School. She worked as the Director of Communications at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston for over twenty years.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Santry, BPD, Ret. Loving mother of Thomas F. of Dorchester, Patrick B. of Pembroke, Michael S. of Needham and Brian S. Santry of Georgia. Mary is survived by 8 grandchildren. Sister of Anna and Agnes Flaherty of Dorchester.

Marie L. "Lucy" (Ouelette) Tranquillino

died Monday February 23 at Marian Manor, South Boston. She was 75 years old.

Born and raised in Salem, MA, she was a graduate of Catherine Laboure School of Nursing. Mrs. Tranquillino had worked at Carney Hospital, Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Massachusetts General Hospital and Floating Hospital.

A longtime resident of Milton, she was active at Saint Agatha Church. Mrs. Tranquillino led the Rosary service at the church, was a member of the Guild and a Eucharistic minister at Quincy Medical Center.

Beloved wife of Theodore E. “Ted” Tranquillino MD. Loving mother of Marie Tranquillino and Delores A. Tranquillino, both of Quincy. Sister of Charles E. Ouelette of Medford, Oregon. Daughter of the late Edward C. and Marie (Larrocque) Ouelette.

Regina M. (Flaherty) Fournier

formerly of Brookline and Quincy, died on February 21, 2009.

Born in Boston, Regina was a Practical Nurse at Mattapan State Hospital, took art lessons and enjoyed painting.

Beloved wife of the late Leo O. Fournier and the late Leslie Rolinson. Mother of the late Arthur Rolinson. Grandmother to Kathleen,Michael, Sean and Kristen Rolinson. Stepmother of Marie D. McNamara of Brookline and Joan A. Gallery of Milton. Also survived by three nieces: Dr.Marilyn Flaherty, Patricia (Flaherty) Moore and Lorraine McSorley and one nephew: James Flaherty. Regina will be truly missed by her six step-grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.
