Mary A. Driscoll

Mary Theresa (Ridge) Driscoll died at her home in Milton surrounded by family and friends, Thursday March 15, 2012. She was 84 years old. Mary was born  January 15, 1928 to Barbara and Joseph Ridge and grew up in Bunahown, Cashel, Galway. She was lovingly married to William Patrick Driscoll, who died in 2008, for 53 years. Mary is survived by daughter Barbara Draffone of Plymouth and her children, Liam, Meghan and Molly; son Kevin of Norwell and his wife Jo-Ann and their children Barry, Michael and Julia; son Brian Driscoll of Marblehead and his wife Barbra and their children Anna, Elena, Ridge and Caroline; daughter Mary Ann Noone from Quincy and her husband Richard and their children Brighid, Maura and Joseph; daughter Sheila McCullough from Yardley, PA and her husband Lonnie and their children Willem, Margaret, John and Patrick. Her beloved son Barry preceded her in death after a long battle with cancer in 1983. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, Dorchester, Monday March 19 at 10:00 AM. Daniel “Danny” Spinelli

Daniel “Danny” Spinelli, 77, of Dorchester, died Sunday March 11, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Mary Boucher. Loving son of the late James and Maria (Scodalupo) Spinelli. Brother of Olga Conti of Quincy, Virginia Costello of Northbridge, formerly of Dorchester and Quincy, Dorothy Juliano of Dorchester, James Spinelli of New Jersey and the late Gaetano Spinelli and Ann Marie Morse. Danny is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Christopher’s Church, 265 Mount Vernon St. Dorchester, on Saturday, March 17 at 9:30AM. Doris Edna La Farge

Doris Edna (Donovan) La Farge, of Marian Manor, South Boston, formerly of Dorchester and Milton, died on March 10, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. La Farge. Daughter of the late Daniel and Martha (Grant) Donovan.
Sister of the late Mildred R. Jackman, Frances Elinor, John, William and Arthur Donovan. Doris is survived by 9 nieces and nephews. Eleanor Sheehan Condon

Eleanor Sheehan Condon, widow of Brendan Sheehan and John Condon, passed away on March 8, 2012. Born in Dorchester, June 2, 1918, she was the daughter of Sarah Finnegan Joyce from Ros Common, Ireland and Lawrence Joyce from Galway, Ireland. Sister of the late Lawrence Joyce, Mary O’Rouke and Kathleen Vincent. She spent most of her life in Milton enjoying her home, her dogs, and her garden. She was a member of St. Agatha’s Parish, Milton. She is survived by her daughters, Eleanor M. Carr and her husband Charles of Concord, Barbara Simmons and her husband Julian of Baltimore, her son Jim Sheehan and his partner, Diana Cole of Springfield. She is also survived by her former daughter -in law -Vicky Ludwig; her eight grandchildren, whom she was very proud of and whom she loved dearly, Christopher Carr and his wife Nadia, Celena Carr, Julia Simmons, Lara Simmons, Bradford Simmons, Brendan Simmons, Lucy Sheehan and Brendan Sheehan. She brought love and joy into the lives of everyone in her family. She was greatly loved by everyone in her family and will be sorely missed by all. Eileen P. (Naughton) Gallagher

Eileen P. (Naughton) Gallagher, of Milton, formerly of Spiddal, Co. Galway, Ireland, passed away under the care of Old Colony Hospice at her son’s home in Weymouth on March 3, 2012.

Born in Spiddal , Co. Galway, Ireland, Mrs. Gallagher emigrated to the United States in February 1948. She and her late husband, Stephen, married on July 21, 1951. Mrs. Gallagher was a wonderful, devoted mother to her two sons and was an active participant in many fundraisers, athletic events and religious activities at Saint Agatha School in Milton and at Don Bosco High School-Salesian Brothers.

Mrs. Gallagher was a daily communicant at the 7:00AM Mass at Saint Agatha Church and enjoyed traveling to the United Kingdom and Ireland. She was a frequent attendee of Irish dances at Concannon’s in Norwood and events at the Irish Cultural Center in Canton.

Mrs. Gallagher took great pride in her yard and enjoyed gardening, tending to her flower beds and maintaining the green grass on her lawn.

Beloved wife of the late Stephen F. Gallagher, she was the loving mother of Stephen F. Gallagher, Jr. of East Sandwich and Patrick Gallagher of Weymouth. Devoted grandmother of Christopher Gallagher of East Sandwich. Sister of Julia “Judy” Mulkern, Michael Naughton and his wife Mary, Kathleen Walsh, Martin Naughton and his wife Barbara, Margaret “Peg” Conley and her husband Edward, and the late Mary Lydon, Bridget “Bridie” Connelly, and Peter, Nora and Barbara Naughton.

John P. Hannigan, Sr.

John P. Hannigan, Sr., passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home in Braintree, Thursday  March 1, 2012, one week prior to his 83rd birthday, surrounded by his loving family.Mr. Hannigan is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Lillian (Joyce) Hannigan. Loving father of Kathleen Hannigan of Braintree, John Hannigan, Jr. and his wife Bernadette of Marshfield and William Hannigan of Milton. Brother of Francis E. Hannigan of Dorchester, Ann Sheehan of Milton, Katherine McSharry of NJ and Sr. Anne Michael, SND of Dedham. Grandfather of Olivia, Audrey & Cole. Also survived by Kim Hannigan of S. Easton and many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Milton, John was a US Army Veteran and served in World War II and the Korean War. After two honorable discharges John worked as a Plumber for Local Union 12 in many buildings around Boston as well as a major job in Liberia. John spent his latter years enjoying his time in sunny Florida with the love of his life, Lil at their home in Naples.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visting hours Tuesday, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., MILTON.
