Attorney Francis X. Goode

Attorney Francis X. Goode, of Dorchester, died at Hancock Park, Saturday, March 3, 2012. Born and raised in North Quincy, he was a graduate of North Quincy High School, Boston University and Portia Law School. He served in the United States Marine Corps Pacific Theatre during World War II. Mr. Goode was an attorney in private practice in Boston. He was a resident of Dorchester for over 60 years. Beloved husband of the late Ruth B. (Barry) Goode. Loving father of Kathleen Munro of East Providence, RI, Eileen Johnson of Dorchester, Susan Goode of Quincy, Veronica Gonsalves of Raleigh, NC, Marjorie Goode and Jenifer Goode, both of Dorchester, Nina Egan of Braintree, Teresa Miller of Sharon, Francis X. Goode Jr. of South Boston and the late Ruthann M. Goode. Loving grandfather of 13. Devoted brother of Paul Goode of Kingsville, TX, Elizabeth Cronin of Braintree, Ethelann Conley of Falmouth and the late Helen Conley, Joseph Goode, Dorothy Casey, Jane Walley, Mary Goode and Edmund Goode. Paul Joseph Menconi

Paul J. Menconi, a retired clerk, died at Quincy Medical Center, Thursday March 1, 2012. He was 68 years old. Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, Paul served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was a retired clerk at First national Bank of Boston. Beloved son of the late Elena (Mazzarello) and Armand Menconi. Step-son of the late Evelyn (Abdalah) Menconi. Brother of Elissa M. Menconi of Dorchester and Sandra M. Sheehan of Wakefield. Paul is survived by his loving nieces Katherine and her husband Robert Gentile and Sarah Sheehan. Mary F. (McMaster) Hughes

Mary F. (McMaster) Hughes, formerly of Milton, Humarock and Bradenton, FL passed away in Worcester on March 1, 2012. Born in Boston, Mary was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament High School and worked as a Secretary for the Division of Employment for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Family was the most important thing in Mary’s life. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo F. Hughes. Loving mother of Joseph T. Hughes of Grafton, Janet M. Hughes of Nova Scotia and the late Leo F. Hughes, Jr.

Doris K. (Lawton) McCarthy

Doris K. (Lawton) McCarthy, of Milton, passed away on February 20, 2012. A homemaker, Mrs. McCarthy and her late husband, Joseph, owned and operated McCarthy’s Shoes in the Adams Village section of Dorchester.

 She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph L. McCarthy for 61 years. Loving mother of Joseph G. McCarthy and his wife, Nancy, of Milton, Robert J. McCarthy and his wife, Donna, of Middleborough, Janet M. Winot and her husband Keith of Stroudsburg, PA and Joan E. McCarthy of Milton. Sister of Robert R. Lawton of Milton, Joan M. Connolly of Quincy and the late John D. Lawton and Eileen M. Hardiman. Doris is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Mildred J. “Millie” (Harris) Burke, died at Colonial Nursing Center, Weymouth, Monday February 13, 2012. A resident of Wollaston, formerly of Dorchester, she was a retired employee of Walter Baker Chocolate and Jordan Marsh. Mrs. Burke was a member of the former Blaney Memorial Baptist Church, Richmond Street, Dorchester. Millie was a member of the St. Mark’s Church Bowling League for over 30 years. Beloved wife of the late John E. Burke. Sister of Richard Harris of Barre, VT and the late Arthur Harris, Grace Harris, Sally Sweeney, Bobby Harris, Kenneth Harris, Harold Harris, Donald Harris and David Harris. Jerome C. “Jerry” Bonarrigo

Jerome C. “Jerry” Bonarrigo, of Pembroke, passed away at Carney Hospital in Dorchester, surrounded by his family, Saturday February 11, 2012. Born in Boston, MA, Jerry was raised in Dorchester and Milton. He graduated from Milton High School. He worked as a machinist for Villa Machine Associates, a manufacturing firm. Jerry was an exceptional cook and guitar player. He also was a 2nd Degree Brown Belt in Karate (Tai Kwon Do) and was a talented builder for home improvement projects. Beloved husband of Nancy Bonarrigo. Loving father of Deborah DiMaggio and her husband Marc of Milton and Michael J. Bonarrigo of Pembroke. Brother of Stephen N. Bonarrigo of Arizona. William D. Butler, Jr.

William D. Butler, Jr., of Dorchester, died on February 11, 2012. Born in Medford, MA, Mr. Butler was an Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam era. He worked as a Shipper at Instrumentation Lab.

Mr. Butler was the beloved husband of Margaret M. (Halloran) Butler. Loving brother of Carol Smith, Regina Lally, Katherine Murray, all of Arlington, Barbara Freeman of Waltham, Philip Butler of SC, Robert Butler of CT and the late David Butler. Beloved brother-in-law and uncle to many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Elizabeth A. (Manning) Moore

Elizabeth A. (Manning) Moore, retired Assistant Clerk Magistrate of Suffolk Superior Civil Court, died at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, after a lengthy illness, Monday February 6, 2012. She was 72 years old. Born and raised in Dorchester, she graduated from Saint Gregory’s School. She worked in the Suffolk County Court system before raising her family in Milton. Mrs. Moore returned to the court system, where she rose through the ranks to become Assistant Clerk Magistrate. She retired in 2001 after more than 40 years. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, she loved to travel. She and her husband had recently moved to Millis. Beloved wife and best friend of Robert E. Moore. Devoted mother of Alice E. Moore and her husband James M. Connors, Robert E. Moore Jr. and his wife Susan M., all of Westwood, Elizabeth A. Moore of Manchester, NH, Lawrence W. Moore and his wife Elizabeth A. Mrs. Powers specialized in pediatric nursing. She loved to travel and sail with her husband of 51 years. Beloved wife of Edward J. Powers. Loving mother of Jonathan E.
