Stephen A. Chiavaroli Sr.

 

Stephen A. Chiavaroli, Sr., 83 years of age, died peacefully and unexpectedly at Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center on Saturday, March 16th surrounded by his wife and family.  Stephen was born and raised in Quincy and resided in Milton for the past 65 years.  Steve was the husband of Patricia L. (Fidler) Chiavaroli for 65 years.

 

In his younger years Steve spent 20 years as a private contractor working on both residential and commercial sites in the Boston area.  He was also employed by Stone and Webster engineering as a Quality Control Inspector and retired from the Town of Milton Assessor’s Office.

 

Steve had many pastimes, including 20 winters in Florida, golfing, fishing, vegetable and flower gardening, yard maintenance, cooking and was very involved with the West Quincy Trivia Club.  His most precious time was spent with his loving grandchildren.

 

He is survived his devoted wife Patricia (Fidler) Chiavaroli.  His four children Carol Libby and her husband David of North Monmouth, ME, Stephen A. Jr. and his wife Cindy of Paxton, MA, James and his wife Eileen of Norwell, MA, and Mary Beth Chiavaroli formerly Neary of Milton.  Also survived by 11 loving grandchildren, David Libby Jr. of Florida Derek Libby, Chad Libby and Kristen Genovese of Maine, Clayton Chiavaroli, Adrienne Chiavaroli, Hillary Chiavaroli and Stephen A. Chiavaroli III, Janelle Eddy, Kayla Roach, and Jack Chiavaroli all of MA.  He also leaves 12 great grandchildren.  Steve is also survived by many neices and nephews including a special nephew, Thomas Plant.  Stephen was the son of the late Antonio and Maria Chiavaroli, and brother of Barbara Carnali and her husband Richard of Quincy, Paul Chiavaroli and his wife Joanne of Marshfield, and Bruna Ascenzi of Rhode Island.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Jenny Joyce, Domenic Chiavaroli, Edeal Plant, Bella Tobin, Vera Caramanica, Carlo Chiavaroli, Gloria Robicheau, Catherine Collins, Louise Chiavaroli, John Chiavaroli, and Lois Chiavaroli.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha’s Church, Milton on Thursday, March 21 at 10:30 A.M.  Relatives and friends invited.  Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Stephen’s name to: The Massachusetts Chapter Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts Street, Suite 450, Newton, MA 02458-1287.

Beatrice “Trixie” MacPherson

 Beatrice ” Trixie”  (Rossiter) MacPherson of Framingham, formerly of Dorchester and Quincy,   March 8, 2013 in Stuart FL.  Devoted wife of the late Colin MacPherson.  Loving mother of the late John Thomas MacPherson.  Born July 25, 1919 in Newfoundland.  She is survived by two brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, relatives, friends and daughter-in-law, Sandy of Delaware.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary Church, High St. Dedham on Saturday, March 16 at 11:00 AM. John F. Brewster

John F. Brewster of Holbrook, formerly of Roxbury, on Thursday, March 7, 2013. Son of the late John F. and Bridget (Boyle) Brewster.  Brother of Theresa Hogan of Holbrook and the late Claire Slifer and George Brewster.  Uncle of Claire M. Parker of Tucson, AZ, Joan Hogan of Dorchester, Mary Ann Hogan of Quincy and the late Theresa R. Hogan.  Also survived by two grandnieces, Elizabeth Parker and Mary Parker and grandnephew David Varela.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 15 at 10:00 AM in St. Gregory Church, Dorchester Ave.,  Dorchester.  Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 PM. Alfred L. Watkins Jr.

Alfred L. Watkins Jr., of Hyde Park, March 10, 2013. Beloved father of Paul Watkins, Alfred L. Watkins III and the late Kevin Watkins. Mary Elizabeth (Cullen) Driscoll

Mary E. (Cullen) Driscoll, died at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, Monday March 11, 2013. Born in Boston and raised in Milton, she was a 1945 graduate of Milton High School. She was a operator for New England Telephone Company for many years. Mrs. Driscoll was a 55 year resident of South Weymouth, before recently moving back to Milton. She enjoyed gardening and the ocean. Beloved wife of the late John F. Driscoll. Loving mother of John Driscoll and his wife Linda of Pennellville, NY, Katie Driscoll of East Thetford, VT, Anne Driscoll and her husband Howard Springsteen of Vienna, VA, Bob Driscoll and his wife Lori of South Freeport, ME and Joe Driscoll of Jamaica Plain. Sister of Patrick Cullen of Westport, CT, Francis Cullen of Walpole and the late James Cullen, John Cullen and Sr. Catherine Cullen M.M. John J. “Jack” Cassisdy III

John “Jack” J. Cassidy, III,  70, of Milton passed away peacefully at Leonard Florence Center for Living, Chelsea, Friday March 8, 2013. A resident of Milton for over 60 years, Jack was the son of the late John and Dorothy Cassidy of Milton. Jack is survived by his brother Alan Cassidy and his wife Caroline of Scituate, sister Janet Wood and her husband Wilbur of Bedford, sister Gail Gallagher and her husband Robert of Norwell as well as several nieces  and nephews. Jack served in the U. S. Army in Germany as a Communications Specialist during the Vietnam Era. Jack was a loyal employee of Arkright Insurance Company and most recently he was a consultant at F.M. Global in Waltham. He was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. Jack enjoyed  travel, photography and bowling. He had visited every major league baseball park in the United States and Canada except Arizona. Jack will be missed greatly by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be held dearly in the hearts of his family forever. Marie Dunn Frasier

Marie Dunn Frasier a lifelong resident of Milton, MA, died peacefully March 6th, . Wife of John Robinson Frazier, mother of Timothy D. Sullivan. Daughter of the late Lawrence Daniel Dunn and Margaret Ethel (Henry) Dunn. Sister of  Peggy Dray of Milton and two deceased brothers James L. Dunn and Paul H. DunnShe leaves three nieces and five nephews.   Marie was a speech professional, public relations executive and human resource specialist. A graduate of Emerson College 1954 with a Masters of Arts Degree and a former Theater Director of the Peabody Playhouse, Boston.  Marie was on the faculty of Katharine Gibbs College and a director of research and development at Aquinas College 1981-1982.She was a resource developer with Quincy Community Action and in 1981 a member of the adjunct faculty at Eastern Nazarene College. She served on the Board of Directors of ACCLAIM Arts group in Milton, the D.W. Dunn Company, Jamaica Plain and the Milton Historical Society (1990-1992).  She was also active with the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Mayors Commission for Women in Quincy and had a special pride in her participation for several years as a member of the Milton Players. Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 9 at 10:00 AM  in St. Elizabeth Church, Reedsdale Rd. at Randolph Ave., Milton.  Interment Milton Cemetery.
