Oliver Nelson

Oliver Nelson, 89, died March 7 in Boston.  Born in South Dakota, he served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946 and then attended Iowa State University, graduating with a B.S. degree in technical journalism in 1950.  He was employed as an industrial editor, mostly for Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Kansas City, Missouri; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

In 1951, Mr. Nelson married Marion DeBois of Rock Island, Illinois, who survives him.  Other survivors are their sons Steven Nelson and his wife Vicki Nelson of Milton and Philip Nelson and his wife Nily Dan of Philadelphia; his grandchildren Kathryn, Jennifer, Rebecca, Rachel, and Daniel; his great grandson Noah Oliver, and his brother Rupert.

Mr. Nelson was a member of the East Congregational Church of Milton.  His special interest as a hobby was woodworking.

A memorial service will be held on March 28 at East Congregational Church of Milton.  Burial at Milton Cemetery will be private.  Arrangements by Dolan and Chapman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Congregational Church or  Milton Council on Aging.

Brian Butteriss

Brian Butteriss of Milton, March, 3, beloved husband of Margaret(Harris)  Butteriss Devoted father of Robin  and his wife Amanda &  Jeremy and his wife Catherine  Butteriss.   Grandfather of Ella Georgia Butteriss, Daniel Mathew Butteriss, Audrey Catherine Butteriss and Maeve Emelia  Butteriss. Brother of Jennifer Ann(Butteriss) Brown.  He also leaves his faithful Tibetan Terrier, -Tashi.

Brian loved his family, and cherished spending time with them. He was a wonderful member of his community and church, always eager to help others. He was beloved by colleagues during a long career in business development at software and hardware companies, as well as managing H&R Block branches. He lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed playing and watching sports throughout his life, including golf, sailing, skiing, tennis, rugby and rowing. He was an active and talented gardener, and kept busy doing odd jobs around the house.  He was a wonderful cook, and loved making meals for his family and friends.   He also loved music and was an active member of the St. Michael’s Church choir.  Family and friends will dearly miss his company, his love and his laughter, and will remember him fondly.

We wish to thank Dr. Musto and his staff at Dana Faber oncology clinic in Quincy for the wonderful care they gave to Brian, and the staff at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham for their care during Brian’s final days.

Eleanor Marie Lee

Eleanor M. Lee, 94, of Billerica formerly of Randolph passed away on March 4, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph R. Lee a retired Boston Police Sergeant.  Eleanor is survived by her son Richard W. Lee and his wife Susan of Billerica, her siblings Kathleen Ansello and Charles L. Manos as well as her cherished grandchildren Meaghan Pustizzi and her husband Matthew of Dracut, Kathleen Button and her husband Corey of Florida, Robert Lee of Billerica and two great grandchildren Johnathan and Makayla.  She also leaves many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Eleanor was predeceased by her siblings Aristedes Manos and Florence Richards along with her grandson Johnathan Lee.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 10 at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS at 10 AM.  Relatives and friends kindly invited.  Visiting hours on Monday night from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers a donation in Eleanor’s name may be made to: LCpl Matthew R. Jane Geraldine (Johnston) Lochrie

 Jane Geraldine (Johnston) Lochrie of Neponset (Dorchester) passed away peacefully at ninety-eight years of age at the Notre Dame Long Care and Rehabilitation Center, in Worcester, MA. Jane was the beloved wife of the late William Lochrie, Jr and the loving mother of William Lochrie III, Jane A. Lochrie, MD, the late Joan M. (Lochrie) Marshall and her daughter-in-law, Deborah J. Mendoza-Lochrie.  She was the much-loved grandmother of Thomas J. Marshall who brought immeasurable joy into her life. Jane is also survived by her devoted sisters, Margaret (Johnston) Mucci and Joan (Johnston) Pasquinelli; she was also the sister of Thomas Johnston, Mary Johnston, Nora (Johnston) Hayes, Dorothy (Johnston) Connolly and John Johnston, all of whom predeceased her. Jane had thirty-nine nieces and nephews, as well as a large family of grandnieces and grandnephews. This extended family was generous in both their visits and letters when she was incapacitated by a fall. Jane was educated in Boston and managed the practice of her late brother-in-law, John Stephen Hayes, MD, with his wife, Nora (Johnston) Hayes, RN. Jane’s life was distinguished by her deep faith and compassion. The family thanks all who rearranged their schedules to stay in touch with her. They are also grateful for the care provided by Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA, as well as Notre Dame du Lac Assisted Living Residence and Notre Dame Long Care and Rehabilitation Center. Franklin Dias passed away peacefully on February 23, 2015. He is survived by his loving daughters Elsie (Dias) Antunes, and Sally Dias. J. William Dolan M.D.

Dolan, W 001J. William Dolan, M.D., a retired orthopaedic surgeon, formerly of Marion and Milton, died at Tremont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wareham, Thursday February 26, 2015.

Born in Boston, Bill was a graduate of Boston Latin School (1953); Tufts University, B.S. (1957); Tufts University School of Medicine, M.D. (1961). He served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, as Staff Orthopedic Surgeon, Travis Air Force Base, CA, 1966-1968. He was affiliated with Carney Hospital and Milton Hospital and served as Chairman of the Operating Room Committee, Milton Hospital 1970-1982. Bill served as an elected member of the Milton Planning Board for over 30 years. He enjoyed tennis, boating and reading.

Beloved husband of Jane Wheeler Dolan. Father of Atty. Kathleen Dolan Kennedy, Jeanne Marie Dolan M.D., Atty. Patrice E. Morse, Brittany J. Dolan and James W. (Jay) Dolan III. Brother of Paul F. Dolan and W. Craig Dolan. Bill is also survived by five grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth Church, Reedsdale Road at Randolph Avenue, Thursday March 5 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Kenny Jamar Lamour

Kenny Lamour was a fun, loving, and caring young man. He was born on October 15, 1993, to parents Carine and Neslie Lamour at Boston City Hospital. He was healthy and always happy. Even as a baby he laughed a lot. Kenny was very independent. He started walking at 6 months and tried to talk and eat by himself at a very young age.

Kenny was a fast learner, and fast at everything he tried, except potty training. He continued on to Beethoven Elementary School, Irving Middle School, and went to Madison High School. He made many friends while he was in school, and was friendly with everybody.

Kenny Loved his mother very much. He always liked to help people, and tried to get a job to help his mother to support the household and his two sisters, Sachie and Jessica. He loved his sisters very much, and was their funny and annoying brother. He was very protective of his sisters and his mother and would do his best to make everything easy for them.

Kenny leaves to cherish his memory his mother Carine Lamour; Father Neslie Lamour; Sisters Sachie & Jessica Lamour; Grandparents Lunie Vergelin, Meorest Desire, and Jean Lamour; Girlfriend Joslyn Harden; A host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Steven W. Taber, 59, of Milton passed away suddenly on February 25, 2015.  He was the loving husband of Rene (Bingham) Taber.  Devoted father of Eleanor and Olivia Taber both of Milton.  Steven is also survived by his brother Carl Taber and his wife Natalie of Mattapoisett, his brother-in-law Robert Bingham and his wife Julia of Somerville, his loving in laws Paula and Frank Bingham,  his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Bailey and her husband Daryl of Fairhaven, Ashley Bingham of Somerville and Robert Bingham, Jr., also of Somerville, his great-nephews Michael and Jacob Bailey and his great-niece Emily Taber.  He is also survived by many caring and wonderful aunts, uncles,  cousins and friends.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2 at 11 AM at Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church, 112 Randolph Avenue, Milton.  Relatives and friends kindly invited.  A visiting hour will be held prior to the service at the church beginning at 9:30 AM.  Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers Steven would appreciate the support of his favorite charity, The American Red Cross either by donating blood or funds, 139 Main Street, Cambridge, MA 02142.
