Born in Boston, he was raised in Readville and graduated from Hyde Park High School. Mr. Kealey served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Northeastern University and worked at Anchor Packing as a salesman for many years. When Anchor Packing ceased operations, he established his own distribution company under the name Anchor Sealing Company. Mr. Kealey enjoyed playing golf and was an usher at Saint Agatha Church.

Beloved husband of the late Theresa D. (Manning) Kealey. Loving father of Nancy M. Kealey and her husband Michael A. Powers of East Falmouth, Thomas J. Kealey III of Milton and Carolyn FitzGerald and her husband Robert of Milton. Grandfather of Ali FitzGerald and Bri FitzGerald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, Adams Street at Brook Road, Milton, Friday September 9 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Friday 9:00 – 10:00 AM. Interment Milton Cemetery.

Paul F. McCarthy

Paul F. McCarthy, 63, died of natural causes on August 23, 2016 in Captiva, Florida. Paul was an acclaimed business leader, attorney, environmentalist and world traveler. He is survived by his mother, Eleanor McCarthy of Hingham, MA, siblings Michael (Maryellen) McCarthy of Hingham, MA, Maureen (Jack) Ghublikian of New Seabury, MA and Jack (Cathy) McCarthy of Sudbury, MA, as well as 9 nieces and nephews and 9 grand nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his close-knit family at Captiva Cruises along with many devoted friends around the world who counted him as family.

Born and raised in Boston, Paul graduated from St. Gregory’s Grammar School and the Boston Latin School, earned an undergraduate degree from Stonehill College as well as an MBA and law degree from the University of Notre Dame, and a Masters of Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Originally a corporate attorney at Sidley & Austin in Chicago, a career change into the boat and tourism business inspired the first architectural tours of Chicago from the water. Launching Chicago from the Lake, Paul embraced the boating, special events and hospitality business full-time. Winter weather led him to Florida, where he founded Captiva Cruises in 1986 to craft excursions to the nearby waterways and barrier islands. In 1991, Paul moved to Captiva full time, built McCarthy’s Marina and became a leader in the community, serving on the boards of the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce, the Captiva Island Historical Society, and the Captiva Civic Association. Paul has left a rich and full legacy of stewardship and ecotourism embodied in Captiva Cruises to respect and appreciate the natural beauty of Southwest Florida. In 2013, he was honored as the Business Person of the year by the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce. In 2014, he received the Junonia Award and the Chrysalis Award for Eco-Innovation in 2016. Both are prestigious awards sponsored by the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau and the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce.

Paul had many varied interests and experiences, including six months service in the White House as Executive Director of the “America’s Millennium” initiative, culminating in the nation’s New Year’s Y2K Millennium celebration.  He also served as Executive Director of Earth Day 2000 at the United Nations in New York.  He recently completed a highly successful term as Commodore of the Captiva Island Yacht Club, where he led many excursions, including visits to the America’s Cup in San Francisco as well as Newport, RI and Havana, Cuba. Paul enjoyed skiing in Telluride and vacations on Martha’s Vineyard.

Paul had a generous spirit and a zest for life.  He loved to share his laughter and passion with everyone who touched his life.

Visiting hours Friday, September 9 at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 10 at St. Gregory Parish Church, 2223 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, MA.

A celebration of Paul’s life will also be held in Captiva, FL in early December; details will be forthcoming.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, the Captiva Island Historical Society, the Barbara Sumwalt Museum and the Epilepsy Foundation.

Jon Esteve Michel

On the evening of August 23, 2016 cherished father, grandfather, uncle, and dear friend Jon Esteve Michel passed away at Boston Medical Cent at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elfils Michel and Madeleine Michel, brother Marc Michel and aunt Vertulia Michel.

Esteve was born in the town of Grand Groave, Haiti on November 11, 1937. As a young man he joined the Boy Scouts and strove, throughout his life, to uphold the three promises: duty to God and country, duty to help others, and duty to self. In his early twenties he became a member of the Haitian Baptist Church. It was through his association with the Baptist Church both in Haiti and in Boston, that he found the most significant vehicle through which to express his faith and relationship with God. Jon Esteve immigrated to the United States in 1968; first to New York and then to Massachusetts. After graduating from Northeastern University with a degree in accounting he resumed his career in banking, which he began in Haiti. He left banking in 1982, after a senior post as Auditor with New England Merchant Bank, to open his own practice. That same year he also became a naturalized American citizen Jon Esteve started a small accounting firm in Mattapan where he established himself as a businessman, philanthropist and community leader serving particularly the Haitian community. For over 35 years Michel and Associates helped businesses and individuals with taxes and also with immigration and other adjustment issues. His office often bustled with activity and classical music.

Jon Esteve is survived by his daughters, Gisele Marlie Michel, Carrine Michel and her son Zachary Martin Giordano, Shirley Michel; his stepson-Clifford Ducheine and his children Khalil, Raheem and Clifford, Jr; his former wife Michelle Michel, who remained at his side until his last day. There are also dear nephews and nieces: Markenlise Michel, Macgleen Michel, Sauvena Witty; Benjamin Boursiquot and his siblings George, Bernadette, Michelin, and Alexandre Francois.

Additionally, Jon Esteve is survived by dear lifelong friends with whom he was able to keep ties despite the many miles that separated them.

Services will be held at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, Lower Mills, Dorchester. Viewing will be Friday, September 2 from 4-8pm and Saturday, September 3 from 8:30am 11am. All funeral services will be at Dolan Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams Street, Dorchester immediately following the service.

Hugh J. McTigue Jr.

Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester and Braintree, he was a graduate of Saint Gregory School and attended Braintree High School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Weymouth. Hugh served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  Mr. McTigue was a lab technician at Carney Hospital and retired from the Veterans Administration as Director of the Home Dialysis Program in 1996.

Mr. McTigue was active with the Milton Pop Warner and former President of the Milton High School Boosters. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Dorchester Lower Mills Council 180.

Beloved husband of 46 years to Susan M. (Wilkins) McTigue. Loving father of Gregory H. McTigue of NY and Gretchen A. McTigue of Charlestown. Grandfather of Phoebe A. McTigue. Brother of James McTigue and his wife Mary Louise of SC and the late Donald McTigue, Rosemary DeCoste and Patricia McTigue. Hugh is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Proud daughter of the late Albert and Agnes Johanson and beloved wife of the late Anthony Pasquantonio, Muriel passed away at the age of 98 after a long and fulfilling life and the loving sister of the late Elsie Sweatt.

Forever proud of her Scandinavian heritage, Muriel was born on September 23, 1917 in Roslindale, MA to Norwegian and Swedish immigrant parents. She attended high school at the Boston Trade School for Girls where she learned to become an exceptional seamstress and cook, skills she would use throughout her life to the great benefit of family and friends, and later going to work at a stationary factory. While living in Randolph as a teenager, she would meet her neighbor and soon to be life-long love, Anthony, whom she married in 1939 and remained so until Anthony’s death in 2003.

Once married, she moved to Milton in 1943, where she would raise three children and remain a resident for the rest of her life. Muriel was also, for many years, a housekeeper and dear friend to a local doctor’s family.

The loving mother of Donald Pasquantonio and his wife Ellen of Fort Meyers, FL, and Manomet, Gail Assaf and her husband Joseph of Delray Beach, FL, and Maine and formerly of Stoughton, Alice Duzan and her late husband Thomas of Milton, MA, she leaves an indelible legacy as the matriarch of a large family. Muriel is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Gregg, Susan, Brian, Jon, Erik, James, and Richard, as well as her 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and  by her late sister Elsie’s children who embraced her as their own after their mother’s death, Blaine Sweatt, Beverly Snyder, Elsa Tuggle, and Karla Stevens, all of Florida, and many other nieces and nephews.

Carol (Brangwynne) O’Keefe of Stoughton formerly of Hull & Dorchester passed away peacefully Friday, August 19, 2016 at the age of 57 with her family by her side.  Born in Boston on February 1, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Robert & Anna-Mae Brangwynne.  Wife of the late Richard O’Keefe.  Beloved mother of Ryan O’Keefe.  Carol is also survived by her 6 siblings, extended family, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, dear friends, and the many lives she touched.

Carol graduated from Cathedral High School in Boston in 1976.  She went on to work in the advertising industry.  She was also a gifted seamstress, who created beautiful gifts cherished by friends and family.  Carol was best known for her infectious personality, endless sweetness, and boisterous sense of humor.  She loved to spend time with friends and family, and she loved to dance.  Most of all, her son was her world.
