D’Angelo Jr. Grandmother of Dr. Melissa Nass of Milton, Elizabeth Wyler of San Francisco, Trevor Margraf of Philadelphia and Alexandra Meyer of Allentown, PA. Great-grandmother of William and Benjamin Nass. Sister of the late Nicholas Russo and John Russo.

“Neti” had celebrated her 100th birthday August 1 with her family in Allentown, PA, where she had resided for the last decade. Born in Boston, she moved to Milton as a youngster and resided there for most of her life. As a young woman, she was a student and devotee of the ballet, where she performed for more than two decades.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth Church, Reedsdale Road at Randolph Avenue, Milton, Saturday November 12 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Saturday 9:30 – 10:30 AM. Interment Milton Cemetery.

Pauletta V. Baldwin

Pauletta Baldwin Cofield was born December 10th, 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts to Arlene Baldwin and the late Willie Johnson, Jr. After a longtime battle and courageous fight our dearly beloved departed us at 11:54pm on Oct, 31st 2016.

Pauletta was an outgoing, kindhearted and independent woman that was loved dearly. She attended South Boston High and later discovered a passion for cosmetology and hair-styling, which led to her enrollment in Blaine’s Beauty School. Later on Pauletta developed an interest in social justice and community advocacy and attended Mount Ida College; this resulted in a career in the Criminal Justice field where she worked as an employee in a pre-release program for men. She loved traveling, reading, trips to the casino as a family outing and most of all spending time with her loved ones.

Life has a way of rekindling relationships and in the winter of 2014 she married a longtime friend Edward Cofield.

Together they traveled to different cities and countries; where they shared and created a lifetime of memories. Their love for each other was filled with joy and happiness.

Mrs. Baldwin Cofield leaves to mourn and cherish in her memory, husband Edward Cofield, mother Arlene Baldwin, stepfather Ernest Thomas, two daughters Brittany & Arlene Baldwin, sister MaryAlice Baldwin, two brothers Willie Johnson III, Ledell Wilkerson Jr. and two grandchildren Janiyah and Jayden Baldwin that she loved dearly.

She also leaves behind her biological aunts and uncles, Sallie Mansfield, Ethel Gibson, Gladys White, Elanor Johnson and Jimmy-Lee Baldwin. She also leaves a host of cousins and godchildren; friends turned family Patrice Ivery, Pat Taylor, Janine McCullom & Darnell Booker.

Pauletta also leaves to mourn in her memory a host of family and friends who will cherish the moments they have shared forever. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 10 at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., LOWER MILLS from 6-7PM. The Funeral service will begin promptly at 7PM. Relatives and friends invited.

 

John Haven Storey

Jstorey_johnpic-for-globeohn Haven Storey, 67 of South Dartmouth, MA, died peacefully November 5, 2016.  The second of four boys born to John Cutts Storey and Patricia VanSchaack Pruyn Storey. Haven grew up in Milton, MA, attended Milton Academy, Brown and Nichols School, Boston University, University of Massachusetts, and The Museum School. As a professional painter and creative designer he managed both the E.K. Perry Company of Boston and his own residential painting business. An accomplished scenic design artist, Haven worked in the film industry for many years creating movie sets.  He helped to produce dozens of feature films including “The Perfect Storm”, “Shutter Island”, “Moonrise Kingdom”, and “Meet Joe Black”.

Haven’s jovial, friendly, outgoing personality gave him many lifelong friends.  He enjoyed boating, antique cars and motorcycles.  He is survived by his mother Patricia, his daughter Kate Storey of Seattle, WA, and brothers Peter, Phillip, and Tom Storey, and former wife Katharine.  Services Private. Isabel DoCanto

DoCanto, Isabel (Rodrigues) of Dorchester, MA died peacefully at her home on November 3, 2016 surrounded by her  family.  Beloved wife of the late Francisco R. DoCanto; Loving mother of Maria Alves, Joao-Pedro DoCanto, Candida DoCanto, Fatima Santos, Joao-  Felipe DoCanto all of Dorchester and Maria Socorro Silva of Norwood; Sister of Guilherme Rodrigues; Cherished grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Isabel was born on April 1, 1919,  in Fogo, Cabo Verde and immigrated to America in 1973. She  worked  as a seamstress for many years before retiring.  The most important aspect of Isabel’s life was her family. She truly loved spending quality time with family especially on Holidays and  special occasions.  She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday 4-8PM  in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, Dorchester.  A  funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday November 8, 2016 at 10AM in Saint Patrick Church, Roxbury..  Burial in New Calvery Cemetery, Boston.

Hermongenes DaRosa of Dorchester passed away Wednesday Nov 2nd surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife, Maria DaRosa and a host of family members. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 7th at St. Peter’s Church, 278 Bowdoin St., in Dorchester at 10AM. Visiting hours will also be held at the church on Sunday from 3-6PM. Interment at New Calvary Cemetery.

Richard Walsh

Richard “Dick” Walsh of Norwood, formerly of Dorchester, Nov 1,.

Dick was born into an Irish immigrant family in New York City in 1926.  His family returned to Ireland, and Dick grew up in Clonakilty, Ireland.  He returned to the Boston area as a twenty year old, eventually helping his four siblings and his mother return to the United States.

Dick worked as a milk deliveryman for nearly 40 years, for White Brothers, Whiting’s Milk Company and West Lynn Creamery.  He was always known for his hard work and dedication to his customers and his employers.  Dick later worked for the Archdiocese of Boston for 10 years before retirement.

Dick possessed a great love of Irish culture and was known for his many years running Saint Patrick’s Day functions at Saint Gregory Parish in Dorchester that always included Irish music, singing, and step dancing.  He enjoyed playing the Irish accordion, and singing with his wonderful Irish Tenor voice in the church choir, at social events, and at many of his children’s weddings.

Dick was dedicated to his church and community, and served as President of the Holy Name Society, member of the Knights of Columbus, servant for the Saint Vincent DePaul Society, and member of the Saint Gregory’s Choir.  He was a regular communicant at Saint Gregory Parish in Dorchester and Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Norwood, and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years.

Most of all, Dick was a dedicated family man, a beloved husband to Margaret (Peg) Walsh (Donovan), the love of his life, and a cherished father to his six children and loving “Papa” to his 17 grandchildren.  Dick was a steady and reliable provider, who worked tirelessly for his family and ensured that his children all completed their education.  Dick will be remembered with great love and respect, as a good man, a fine example, a hard worker, and a kind soul, who always did his best “for the good of the order”, as he often liked to say.

He was a beloved husband of 60 years and best friend of Margaret (Donovan) Walsh.  Devoted father to Maureen Walsh David and her husband Steven of MD, Richard Walsh and his wife MaryJo of FL, James Walsh and his wife Diane of Franklin, Kathleen Walsh Heraghty and her husband Michael of  Norwood, Edward Walsh and his wife Kelly of Scituate, and Margaret Walsh and her husband John Newman of NH. Brother of Helen McCarthy of Dorchester, Mary Driscoll of Milton, Edward Walsh of Abington, and the late Michael Walsh.  Brother in Law of Alice (Donovan) Walsh of Arlington.  Also survived by 17 grandchildren: Sarah, Julia, Katie, Richard, Michael, John, James, Meaghan, Julia, Erin, Eamon, Mairead, Rosemarie, Aidan, Molly, Maeve, and Cormac.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory’s Church, DORCHESTER, Sat. Jack (Hagop) Arabian

He was born in Lawrence, MA, November 13, 1929. Jack was raised in Andover and graduated from Andover (Punchard) High School in 1947. He received a B.A. from Harvard University in 1951 and an M.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1970. His working career spanned radar electronics, inertial guidance, industrial control systems, computer design and test, and management consulting. He was a Massachusetts registered professional engineer and he held membership in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Instrument Society of America (ISA), American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and British Society of Test Engineers. In 1993 he founded Comparative Management Associates, specializing in the Process Technologies of Benchmarking, Computer Modeling, and Simulation. The Associates modeled processes in healthcare, manufacturing, and financial industries.

Mr. Arabian traveled internationally as an engineering consultant, writing papers and lecturing to professional groups and students on electronics, automatic testing, and competitive strategies. He is the author of three technical books, “Computer Integrated Electronics Manufacturing and Testing”, “Speed Benchmarking” and “Concurrent and Comparative Discreet Event Simulation”. He was a contributing author to the book entitled “VLSI Testing”. He wrote several contemporary novels and he is listed in Marquee’s “Who’s Who in the East”.

Survived by his wife Elyse Arabian; two brothers, Gregory and Ralph; three children, Sherri Moody from Milton and her husband Frank, Alan Arabian of Quincy and his wife Sandy, and Marie (Maffei) Hennessey and her husband Frank of Yarmouth; three grandsons, Eric and his wife Anna, Alex and Stephen; and several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins.
