Paula M. Molinari

Paula M. (O’Brien) Molinari, of Milton, died at home, Wednesday January 1, 2020.

Beloved wife of John J. Molinari of Milton.  Loving mother of Michael D. Molinari and Amanda Pelliter of Malden and P.J. Molinari of Milton. Devoted daughter of Mary O’Brien and the late Paul T. O’Brien.  Sister of Eugene O’Brien and his wife Wendy Berenson of Newton, Lawrence O’Brien and his wife Kathy of Upton and Robert O’Brien of Milford; cherished Nana of Luca D. Molinari.  Paula is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as several brothers and sisters in-law.


Paula was born and raised in South Boston.  She was a graduate of Milton High School and University of Massachusetts Boston.  Paula was a social worker for Commonwealth of Massachusetts, dedicating her life to helping others. Most of all, Paula loved spending time with her family.  In earlier years, she enjoyed summers at Hamilton Beach in Wareham and skiing in North Conway. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Road, Milton, Tuesday January 7 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited.  Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Monday 4:00 – 8:00 PM.  Interment private.

Eleanor Anne Corner

Eleanor Anne (Caliacco) Corner, of Quincy, died Wednesday January 1, 2020.

Beloved wife of the late William A. Corner. Loving mother of son Richard W. Corner and his wife Carole of Canton, their children Col. Richard W. Corner II, US Army of Virginia and Stephanie Corner of Sharon; son Russell C. Corner and his wife Janet of Rockland, his children Russell C. Corner II of Norfolk, Jennifer L. Corner of Brockton, Gabrielle E. Corner of Tennessee and their mother Lori Corner of Raynham; and late son Robert S. Corner and his daughter Eryn Rotondo of New Jersey. Great-grandmother of nine. Sister of Elsie LeVangie of Braintree, Jacqueline D’Allessandro of Quincy and the late Mary Rykard, George Caliacco and Donald Caliacco.

Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Wednesday January 8 from 4-7 PM. A Celebration of Eleanor’s Life and interment at Mount Wollaston Cemetery will be held privately.

Carol Smith

Carol Smith, 90, of Chestnut Hill, passed away Wednesday January 1, 2020 with her family by her side.

She was born June 11, 1929 in Boston to Richard Burton Smith and Dorothy Tice Smith.  Carol grew up in Milton and lived most of her adult life in Brookline.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Richard Kent Smith and sister-in-law, Edith Harwood Smith.

Carol graduated from Mount Holyoke College.  She worked as a computer programmer for Harvard University, Brandeis University and Harvard Business School.  She was Clerk of the Corporation for the Arlington Street Church for many years.  She loved music, especially classical music.  She was a member of the Boston Chapter of the American Recorder Society.  She enjoyed singing in the choir of the Arlington Street Church.  She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

She is survived by her niece, Wendy Warwick and her husband Richard Warwick of Pisgah Forest, NC, her nephew, Harwood Kent Smith and his wife Louise of Timonium, MD, a great niece, Valerie Smith-Lopez of Baltimore, MD and a great nephew, Gregory Kent Smith of Arizona.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.

Ruth Dwyer

Ruth F. (Martin) Dwyer, a longtime resident of Dorchester, died Tuesday December 31, 2019.

Beloved wife of the late Sydney B. Dwyer. Loving mother of Charles S. Dwyer and wife Joan of Weymouth and Marion L. Neville and husband Robert of Abington. Sister of the late Charles Martin. Ruth is also survived by three loving grandchildren, Kathleen and Charles Dwyer, Jr. and Scott Neville, and two great grandchildren Sara and Christopher.

Ruth was the soloist at Saint Gregory Church for many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Gregory Church, 2215 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, Saturday January 4 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Saturday 9:00 – 10:45 AM. Private interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery will be at a later date.

Anna F. Crowe

Anna Frances (Dyer) Crowe, of Dorchester, born in Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, Ireland, died Friday December 27, 2019.

Affectionately known as Ann or Nan by friends and relatives, she was 91 years young. Ann worked as a domestic when she arrived in the USA at age 18. She met her husband Bill while employed as an elevator operator at Boston Gas Company. She enjoyed working as a medical secretary at Carney Hospital. She was a longtime member of Saint Gregory the Great parish in Dorchester. She loved the Pope, her family and her home country of Ireland. Her Sunday dinners were legendary.

Beloved wife of the late William T. Crowe. Devoted mother of Catherine A. Harrington and her fiancé Gregory Speicher of Holbrook, Thomas W. Crowe of Canton, John J. Crowe and his wife Tammy of Merrimack, NH and Mary J. Crowe of Dorchester. Loving grandmother of the late Anthony W. Crowe. Proud Great Nana to Miles (Crowe) Curtis, Salvatore (Crowe) Curtis and Eleanor (Crowe) Curtis of Canton, MA.

Jean Claude Labathe, of Canton, December 23, 2019.

Beloved husband of the late Lucas (Sebastien) Labathe. Father of Myrmonde Baron of Mattapan and Clauda St. Fleur of Randolph. Brother of Sergo Labathe and Mariette Labathe, both of Hyde Park, Magalie Labathe and Evans Labathe, both of Canton, Elsie Labathe of Boston, Philomene Labathe of FL and the late Claudette Labathe, Wilfrid Labathe, Saurel Labathe and Louimene Labathe.  He is also survived by four grandchildren.

Margaret Villejoint

Margaret Villejoint, 59, of Hyde Park, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

Margaret was the beloved mother of Ricardo and Natacha Maxime.

William R. Doherty

William R. Doherty, of Milton, December 14, 2019.

Audrey M. Stevens

Audrey (Munch) Stevens, entered into rest on December 15, 2019 at age 96.

Beloved wife of the late Robert H. Stevens. Devoted mother of Jeffrey L. Stevens of Milton and Janet H. Stevens of Quincy.  Sister of the late Helen Pagel and Herbert Munch.

Audrey worked at the UUA Headquarters in Boston and gave up her career to raise her family.  In her later years, she was a baker and manager of the Milton High School cafeteria.  She met her husband Robert at Parkway Community Church where they were active members for many years.  Together they shared a love of music, dancing, and a strong sense of community service.  She was the program chair for 38 years in the Milton Women’s PM club, a tour docent at Quincy United First Parish Church – the Church of the Presidents and member of the Viking Club.  Audrey was an extraordinary woman of many talents who opened her home to all.    She will be remembered as a kind and caring person, known for her strong ties to her Danish family and heritage.  She maintained her grace, strength and kindness right up to the end of her final moments in life.

Reverend Thomas C. Foley

Rev. Thomas C. Foley, of Regina Cleri Residence, Boston, died peacefully Saturday December 14, 2019.

Beloved son of the late Patrick and Annie (McGinley) Foley. Brother of Bernard Foley of Delaware, Richard Foley of Canton and the late John Foley, Francis Foley, Barbara Pickering, William Foley and James Foley. Brother-in-law of Barbara Foley, Patricia Foley, Charles Pickering, Patricia Foley, Anne Foley, Marie Foley and the late Adele Foley and Natalie Foley. Fr. Foley is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Born in Boston, he graduated from St. Ann’s Grammar School, Dorchester, Matignon High School, North Cambridge, St. John’s Seminary, Boston and Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. He was ordained February 2, 1957 and assigned to St. Joseph, Woburn; St. Thomas Aquinas, Jamaica Plain; St. Patrick, Lynn; St. Therese, Everett; Our Lady of Assumption, Lynnfield; Director of the Permanent Diaconate Program; St. Lawrence, Brookline and Pastor at Saint Mary of the Hills Church, Milton from May 1987 until retiring June 2002. In retirement, Fr. Foley assisted at St. Clare, Braintree; St Gerard Majella, Canton; St. Ann, Quincy and St. John, Quincy. 

Fr. Foley will lie-in-repose at Saint Mary of the Hills Church, 29 St. Mary’s Street, Milton, Friday 4-8 PM. A Con-Celebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the church Saturday December 21 at 11:00 AM, Sean Cardinal O’Malley, main celebrant. Parishioners, relatives and friends invited. Interment Milton Cemetery.
