Caldas and Valerie Irene (Ross) Caldas. Brother of Tracy Lee Caldas of Woburn and Kelly Newell of Quincy. Nephew of Rosalyn Marcelli and her husband Robert of Wilmington, VT. Uncle of Skyla S. Maurice J. Donovan

Maurice J. Donovan, formerly of Dorchester, died suddenly in Milton on December 11, 2010. Beloved son of Maureen and the late Maurice “Sonny” Donovan. Loving brother of Matthew Donovan of Dorchester, Siobhan Haughey of Weymouth and the late John Donovan. Uncle of Michael, Patrick and Mairead Haughey and John Donovan. Thomas J. Kelly

Thomas J. Kelly, of East Sandwich, Port Charlotte, FL and Squantum died Wednesday Dec. 8, 2010.  He was 92.  Beloved husband of Catherine B. (Murphy) Kelly. Devoted father of Thomas & his wife Sharon of Hingham, Eugene & his wife Laesse of Waltham, Robert and Joseph both of Weymouth.  Dear brother of Peggy (Marguerite), Rita, Joseph and Sr. Barbara Kelly.  Predeceased by the late John and Mary.  Grandfather of Heather Kelly of Norton and Thomas Kelly, III of Hingham.   He was the son of the late Thomas and Anne (Reney) who emigrated from Galway, Republic of Ireland. Thomas was born and educated in Boston.  He was a proud WW II Navy Veteran.  He worked in sales for the Jacob Ruppert Brewery, and the Jos. Schlitz Brewery before retiring in 1985.  Thomas was a member of the Sandwich American Legion and the Hyannis Elks & the Port Charlotte, FL Elks.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, Milton, Sunday 2 – 6 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Dolan Funeral Home, Monday at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, South Weymouth at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at a later date at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Dorothea R. (Cadigan) Kelleher

Dorothea R. (Cadigan) Kelleher, died at Golden Living Center of Cohasset, Sunday December 5, 2010. She was 97 years old. Beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Kelleher. Daughter of the late John J. and Mary L. (Sullivan) Cadigan and sister of eleven late brothers and sisters who were raised at 93 Milton Avenue, Dorchester. Dorothea is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Anthony Church, 129 South Main Street, Cohasset, Friday December 10 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited, Visiting hours omitted. Ramona Viera-Rodriguez

Ramona Viera-Rodriguez, a former resident of Boston, died at home in Puerto Rico, Friday December 3, 2010. She was 83 years old. Born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, she raised her family in Boston. She returned to Puerto Rico thirteen years ago. Loving mother of Carmen Torres of Puerto Rico, Ivan Viera of Dorchester, Martha Vargas of Puerto Rico, William Viera of Cambridge, Richard Viera of Malden, Gerardo Viera and the late Angel Viera. Doris H. (MacKinnon) Olson

Doris H. (MacKinnon) Olson, of Braintree, died at South Shore Hospital on December 6, 2010.

Mrs. Olson was born in Boston and graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls in 1945. She worked as an Associate for John Hancock Insurance and also worked as an Associate at Jordan Marsh for over 20 years.

A resident of Braintree for over 60 years, she was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, the Braintree Women’s Club and Bowling Club in Braintree.

Beloved wife of the late Robert G. Olson. Mother of Robert G. Olson, Jr. and his wife Nancy and Carl E. Olson and his wife Eleanor, all of Braintree. Kenneth A. Olson and his wife Wendyof Franklin and David R. Olson and his wife Susan of Epsom, NH. Sister of the late Phyllis Gracie and Marion Ochs. Doris is survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held in the First Baptist Church, 594 Washington St. Braintree, MA on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Patricia M. (Spero) Macy, of East Bridgewater, formerly of Randolph, 50 years old, died suddenly on  December 1, 2010. Beloved wife of Charles F. Macy. Loving mother of Rachael and Charles L. Macy, both of E. Bridgewater. Sister of Loretta Brochu and her husband Eric of Bourne. Special grandmother of Benji, Dora, Emma and Louie. Mildred J. “Millie” (McDonough) Godas

Mildred J. “Millie” (McDonough) Godas, of Dorchester, died at Caritas Carney Hospital in Dorchester on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Born in South Boston, Millie was a long- time resident of Dorchester’s Codman Hill section.

Wife of the late Albert P. Godas, she is survived by one son, Joseph G. Godas and his wife Bonnie of Braintree, two grandchildren, Alex and Charlotte Godas of Braintree and one sister, Agnes McNamara of Dorchester.

Millie was predeceased by her sister, Teresa Mayo.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, 2215 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours and interment private.

Gerald J. “Gerry” McCarthy

Gerald J. “Gerry” McCarthy, of Milton, formerly of Mission Hill, died at the Stanley Tippett Hospice House in Needham after a short illness on November 28, 2010.

Born in Boston to the late Paul M. and Mary B. (Healey) McCarthy, Gerry was a graduate of Boston State College. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a Minor in Psychology.

Gerry worked as a Civil Service Examiner in the Human Resources Division for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Gerry’s favorite pastimes included bowling and walking. He was a member of the Cunningham Bowling Green Lawn Bowling Club where he and his team were the undefeated champions in a tournament in 2008. He also was a member of the Cunningham Senior Men’s Bowling League.

Beloved husband of Veronica J. “Vicki” (Fake) McCarthy. Loving father of Caroline A. Dodero and Kelly E. McCarthy, both of Milton. Brother of Robert E. McCarthy and his wife Barbara of Braintree and the late Paul M. McCarthy, Jr. and Kevin D. McCarthy. Devoted grandfather of Tayla C. Dodero. Gerry is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, Milton on Thursday, Dec. 2 at 9:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave. MILTON, Wednesday, 4-8PM. Interment Milton Cemetery.

Winifred E. (Mullen) Maher

Winifred E. (Mullen) Maher, 89, formerly of South Boston,  passed away at her home in Quincy on   Saturday, November 27, 2010 , surrounded by her family.  She was the wife of the late Edward M. Maher.

Born in South Boston on January 21, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Bridget (McDonough) Mullen.  She graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1939.

Mrs. Maher  retired from Mass Eye & Ear Infirmary and was a member of South Boston Irish American Society, Castle Island Association and  St. Mary’s Senior Group.

Loving mother of Eileen Campbell  and her husband Robert of Quincy,  Edward Maher and his wife Pamela of Quincy.  Cherished grandmother  “Nanny” of Robert and Peter ;”PJ” Campbell and Amber Gilbert.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in in St. Mary’s Church, Crescent St. QUINCY on Wednesday, December 1, at 10:00 AM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend.  Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., MILTON , Tuesday 4-8 PM.  Interment National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 PM.
