Walter G. Austin (BFD, Retired), of Dorchester, age 93, passed away surrounded by his loving family, March 18, 2016.

Beloved husband of 59 years of the late Mary (McGregor). Loving father of Walter F. and his wife Suzanne of Mashpee, John D. and his wife Lillian of Quincy, William G. (BFD Ret.) and his wife Ann of Dorchester, Marianne Austin of Boulder, CO, Michael D. and his wife Lorraine of Holbrook, Paul X. and his wife Mary of Dorchester, Rita Austin and her husband Richard Maciaszczyk of Milton, Anne and her husband Jim Nichols of Weymouth and Jeanne Austin and her husband Bernard Greaney of Milton. Son of the late Walter F. and Mary (Daly). Brother of Muriel O’Donnell of Randolph, Paul Austin of Quincy and the late Rita Greland and Robert Austin. Devoted grandfather of 25 grandchildren, the late John Austin QFD and 21 great-grandchildren.

Walter served his country proudly in the US Marines in WWII as a Plank Member 1st Marine Division, Guadalcanal, Cape Gloucester and New Guinea.  Retired firefighter, BFD, Ladder 4.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church,  2223 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, Wednesday March 23 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:00 PM.

Lorene Johnson

Johnson, Lorene

Lorene “Doll Baby” Johnson was born June 26, 1950, in Sardinia, South Carolina. She was one of eight children born to the late Rena L. (Kennedy) Johnson and the late Lawyer Johnson. Lorene and her family migrated to Boston, MA, by way of Washington, D.C. in 1955. Lorene earned her high school diploma from Girls High in Boston MA. She also attended Roxbury Community College, where she earned a number of specialty certifications, in the medical/healthcare field.

 

Lorene had a love for learning and research. She was last employed at KPMG consulting, in Boston, MA.  She also had extensive knowledge and experience in the healthcare field. In the past, she was employed by New England Medical Center, University Hospital, Children’s Hospital Boston and Faulkner Hospital. Lorene enjoyed listening to music, especially the blues, cooking, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Marion Aleitha Johnson, Veronica Lake Johnson and Mary Theresa Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Jeneen L. (Johnson) Rainford, Rasheena Nichole Johnson and Jannie M. Johnson; son, Lance L. Johnson; son- in- law, Eudolf Rainford; sisters, Rosa (Johnson) Nichols and Patricia Johnson; brothers, Hugh M. Johnson and Lawyer Johnson and 7 grand children, Justin L. Green, Renea J. Johnson, Emaya R. Rainford, Terry R. Cousin, Jaylin D. Rainford, Rasheen N. Cousin and Cyrus C. Cousin. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St. LOWER MILLS, Saturday March 19 from 10-11AM. The Funeral Service will begin at 11AM. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Peter Clement Darrell

Darrell, Peter Clement of Randolph Massachusetts,  formerly of Dorchester, died March 12, 2015 after a series of illnesses.  Dearly beloved son of  the late Clement and Grace (Hogan) Darrell.   Beloved brother of Marylouise Grace Darrell of Randolph, Henry Darrell and his wife Susan Slicis Darrell of Hingham, John Darrell and his wife Lisa Freije, of Needham, Judith Darrell-Kemp and her husband Thomas Kemp of Milton, and the late Isabelle Ann Darrell.  Cherished Uncle Pete to  Ian Darrell Kemp and Nicholas and Alexander Darrell.  Peter was a combat Veteran, proud former member of the United States Navy, former member of St. Mark’s V.F.W. Post in Dorchester, and the Disabled American Veterans Post in Randolph. Peter’s humor & stories will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.

 

Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday March 18, 2016 in Saint Gregory Church, 2223 Dorchester Ave. at 11AM.  Visitation prior to the Funeral Mass in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, Dorchester from 9:00AM to 10:30AM.  Interment with full Navy Honors  in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Lorraine N. Daniels

Lorraine “Lorrie”  (Nelson) Daniels, of Quincy, March 14, survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Robert D. Daniels. After her marriage she and her husband resided in Squantum for more than 40 years before moving to Atria Marina Bay two years ago. After retirement from a 40 year career at the Mother Church, First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston Lorrie and Bob enjoyed traveling throughout the country as well as Europe.

Sister of the late Barbara Ann Hanover and brother Stuart A Nelson.  Aunt of  Jeffrey and Stuart Nelson, a Nina Linnea Garvin and Marc Nelson Hanover all of Martha’s Vineyard.

Her husband Bob would like to thank those at  Atria as well as the wonderful team at Celtic Homecare by Catherine for the excellent and  loving care provided to Lorrie for the last two years.

John (“Jack”) Fee Teehan, II
26 years old of Plymouth, Massachusetts
January 11, 1990 -February 13, 2016

Our dear Jack will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, friendship and great sense of humor. He was immensely interested in books, people, animals, and the world. Jack cherished spending time with his family, friends, and extended family in New Hampshire. He loved hiking, camping, music and making new friends. Jack loved and was loved by all who were blessed to know him.

Bob was a real estate developer and former Director of the Boston Redevelopment Authority. He graduated from BC High, Boston College and Harvard Business School and served in the US Navy.

Gladys Chrispin

Gladys Chrispin was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti to Helene Ceda and St. Jean Nicolas on September 29th, 1948. Gladys migrated to the United States in 1970. She was married to Montreuil Chrispin, as a result of that union they had two children; Pascale and Marthine. Gladys was known to many as hardworking and a loving woman. She was ready to answer the call of many who reached out to her. Gladys touched the lives of many and she was always eager to lend a helping hand through her generosity.  Throughout the years, Gladys worked hard to support her family, and accomplish her dreams and aspirations. Gladys was a caring and supportive person. Gladys will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  She is survived by her husband Montreuil Chrispin, and her children Pascale Chrispin-Paul and Marthine Chrispin. Son-in-law Wensly Paul and her loving grandchildren Yahzmeen and Alissa Paul. Her brothers,  sisters and brother-in-law; Emmanuel Ceda, Sylverine Simon, Jean-Claude Nicolas, Claudette Nicolas, and Marie Helene Raphael and her husband Ritzner Raphael.             Gladys had many loving nieces and nephews. Natacha Rapheal, Ranessa Raphael, Ritzner Raphael Jr., Jessie Juene, Manoucheka Presume, Jean Eric Simon Jr., Yves V Simon, Marie Judith Simon, Barbara Cheri, Claudine Nicolas, Suzelle Saint-Eloi and Yves Andre Jean-Louis. Special acknowledgements:  Ronald Chrispin, Eddie Chrispin, Suzette Chrispin, Elvyre Chrispin, Guirline Charles,  Elsie Berrouet, Regine Revellus, and Frantz Guillaume; as well as extended family and friends.
