Raymond E. Reich, M.D.

Reich_RaymondwebRaymond E. Reich, M.D., died in Boston June 19th, at the age of 86. He was born in New York, New York.  Raymond lived in Chicago where he was a well respected Cardiologist and practiced medicine for more than 40 years.  Raymond was in private practice as well as on the staff of Christ Hospital and was the President of Holy Cross Hospital medical staff.  He retired and moved to Boston with his beloved wife Nancy Castro – Reich who he shared his life with for over 20 years.

Raymond loved spending time with his family, travelling sports of all kinds but football was his favorite. He was a brilliant man who was an incredibly social person. He was always grateful for his time  spent with his family and friends.

Raymond was the devoted father of Heidi Reich- Aguilar and her husband Tony of Illinois, Jeffray Reich and his wife Jeanette of Illinois, Raymond Reich and  his wife Erica of Illinois and Romy Reich of Indiana. He was the loving grandfather of Hayden Reich, Sydney Sargis, Taylor Reich, Raymond Reich and Ryan Reich.

Our Most cherished Raymond will be missed forever and we are eternally grateful for our time with him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St.  Agatha’s Church, Thurs., June 25 at  10:30 am. Visiting Hours in the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., EAST MILTON SQUARE, Weds., 5- 8  pm. Interment  Private. If desired contributions in Raymond’s name may be sent to any cancer charity of your preference.

Ethel Burgess

Ethel Burgess of Carver, formerly of Milton passed away on June 18, 2015.  She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur A. Burgess; loving mother of Pamela Foster of Florida; sister of the late Marion A. Edwards of Boston; aunt of Charles Edwards of NH and Karen Sullivan of Framingham.  Ethel is also survived by her two cherished granddaughters Laura Gilbert and Lisa Harley as well as her four great grandchildren Jacob, Hayley, Tyler and Devin.  A funeral service will be held at Dolan-Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Avenue, Milton at 12 noon on June 23, 2015.  Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend a period of visitation before the service beginning at 11 AM.  Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers a donation in Ethel’s name may be sent to The United Methodist Church of Plymouth, 29 Carver Road, Plymouth, MA 02360. 

Harriett R. Norton

Harriett R. (Maxwell) Norton, of Braintree, formerly of Dorchester, June 14, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Frank M. Norton. Loving mother of Joan Mullally and husband Anthony E. of South Weymouth, Robert J. Norton of Washington  and the late Francis M. Norton. Sister of Phyllis R. Bai of CT, and the late Anita Kiely, Edward W. Maxwell, Robert J. Maxwell Jr. and twin brother Henry J. Maxwell. Cherished grandmother of Michael A., Robert E. Mullally and Gael Kourafas and husband Christopher. Great grandmother of Lauren, Caroline and Mia Kourafas. James L. Anderson

James L. Anderson, 72, 50 year Quincy resident, recently retired to Chatham, passed away on June 11, 2015 surrounded by his family.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years Rita Anderson.  James also leaves his children Brian Anderson and his wife Nolisha of Hanover, Donny Anderson and his wife Heather McCullogh of Virginia, Karen Colitti and her husband John of Abington and Sue Kennedy and her husband Scott of Quincy.  He is also survived by his brother Richard Anderson and his wife Roberta and their son Keith of CA, his brother-in –law Wally Eason and his late wife Diane of Weymouth along with his eight cherished grandchildren.  James was predeceased by his brother Paul Anderson.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Saint Mary’s Church, 95 Crescent Street, West Quincy at 10 AM.  Relatives and friends kindly invited.  Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON.  If desired a donation in James’ name may be made to Circle of Hope, 24 Myrtle Street, Norwood, MA 02062. 

Charles Bertolon

Charles Bertolon, 78, of Quincy, died June 9, 2015. Predeceased by his father Charles, his mother Alice, and his sister Judy Bertolon. Retired from Stop and Shop. Life long fan of Boston sports. Member of St. Kevin’s Emeralds. Loved by members of the Nutley, McManus and Bertolon families. Cared for and loved dearly by niece Deborah McManus.  Funeral service Monday, June 15 at 10:30 AM at Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Avenue, MILTON VILLAGE.  Friends and relatives kindly invited.  Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9 AM. 

Constance Barrett Corson

Constance Barrett Corson, 94, of North Quincy, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday June 3, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born on September 9, 1920 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  After growing up in Montreal and Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Wellesley College in 1942. Her husband, Robert William Corson, preceded her in death in 1980, as did her parents, Anthony and Anna Barrett. Connie is survived by two sons and three grandsons: Marshall Ayer Corson and wife Lauren Riker, of Edmonds, Washington, Dana Barrett Corson of Amherst, MA, and grandsons, Joshua Corson and wife Arielle, of Seattle, WA, Michael Corson of Edmonds, WA, and Benjamin Corson of Washington, D.C., as well as more than 30 extended Canadian family members across 4 generations.

Connie lived in the Boston area for over half a century, relocating from Milton in 1988 to Marina Bay. She was adventurous, with spirit for life and she enjoyed boating, fishing and sightseeing around Boston Harbor in her earlier years, as well as reflecting on her Harbor views later on.

Connie had a passion for philanthropic and community efforts, volunteering in the Boston Public Schools and providing expertise as an advocate for students with learning disabilities. In her many years as a member of St. Michael’s Parish in Milton she served on the Vestry and as a Board Member for the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.

Connie had a passion for the arts, sang in choirs and loved spending Saturday afternoons listening to the Metropolitan Opera or strolling through the galleries of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She was active on the Wellesley College Foundation Board.

One of Connie’s recent wishes was to spend a Christmas with her two sons. In December 2014, that wish came true. A wonderful memory for the three of them.

We will be remembering her and celebrating her life and friendships with visiting hours at the Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Avenue, MILTON VILLAGE, Friday June 12 from 4:00-8:00 PM, and funeral services at St. Michael’s Episcopal Parish, 112 Randolph Avenue, Milton at 11 AM on Saturday, June 13th, followed by reception and burial services.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Macular Degeneration Research Fund of Dr Johanna Seddon at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Evelyn M. Tolliver

Tolliver, Evelyn for website onlyEvelyn was born in St. Petersburg FL, on March 12, 1934.  After graduating high school, she came to Boston in 1954 and worked as a seamstress until her marriage to the late John B Tolliver in 1956.  Evelyn lived in the South End, Dorchester and Mattapan prior to moving to Hyde Park in 1987.  Evelyn was an avid jazz fan, gardener and fashionista.  Over the past 60 years she has raised 6 children, fostered over 75 children and babysat over 2 generations of children.  She has warmly and generously opened her heart and home to many.  Known for her well dressed and classy style, good food and no nonsense attitude, Evelyn will be missed by all who knew her and her many titles “Momma, Nena, Evvie, Mom, Ma, The Rock, Nana, Nana-poo,   Auntie, Ms. E, Lady E, Lady Ev and the Diva.

Evelyn was the beloved daughter of the late John and Annabelle Collins of Florida, and the sister of the late Christina Green, the late Mary Willis of Florida, the late Johnny Collins and the late Ivenus Collins of Boston.  She was the loving mother of Stephen Tolliver of Hyde Park, Wayne Tolliver and his wife Mia of North Carolina,  Denean Tolliver of Milton, Lawrence Miller and his wife Lora of North Carolina, Venus Tolliver of Dorchester and Marlayna Robinson and her husband Arthur of Hyde Park.  She also leaves to mourn her brother Andre Davis., Her nephews George Tolliver and family, Michael Willis, and niece Mary L. Anderson and family, her grandchildren, Stephen Tolliver, Jr. Khalil Moss, Arlanah & Arthur Robinson and the late Charles Marvel, and a host of nieces and nephews in Florida, Nevada and Canada.

Funeral Service in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., Dorchester Lower Mills, Weds., June 10 at 11 o’ clock.  Visitation Weds., 10 – 11 am.  Interment Oak Lawn Cemetery ,  Roslindale.

Camelia Dubuisson-Benjamin

Camelia Dubuisson-Benjamin,  of Chestnut Hill, May 31, beloved wife of the late Benny Benjamin. Loving mother of Serge, Marie Josee, Yvrose, Morancy, Franky, and Yanique Benjamin. Marie E. Shea

Marie E. Shea of Braintree, formerly of Quincy, June 2, beloved wife of the late William F. Shea. Virginia M. (Hamilton) Savage

Virginia M. “Ginny” (Hamilton) Savage, of Quincy, May 31, 2015.

Born in Boston on January 13, 1925, she is a graduate of the Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester. Ginny worked as a secretary prior to her marriage. She resided in both Milton and Randolph prior to moving to Quincy in the 1980’s. Ginny was an avid boater and in her youth was quite athletic, as a child she was a roller skating champion. She also enjoyed candlepin bowling for many years as a adult.

Beloved daughter of the late John F. and Marie (Madden) Hamilton. Beloved wife of the late Peter E. Savage. Mother of Maureen M. Savage of South Weymouth, Jeanne F. Barton of Chelmsford and the late Peter L. Savage of NH, Linda J. Green of ME and Charles Hamilton Savage of Milton. Grandmother of Jessica Burke and her husband Derek of Dorchester, Jennifer Savage of Austin, TX, Sean Kachuck of San Antonio, TX and Jeff Green and his wife Rebecca of Bangor, ME. She also leaves three great-grandchildren – Jack Burke, Sarah Burke and Ada Crowley. Beloved sister of the late Charles J. Hamilton and Francis Hamilton.
