Carlos Fausto DePina passed away peacefully at his home on July 12, 2015 after a long illness, surrounded by his family.  Carlos was the beloved husband of Luzia P. Fernandes.  He was the cherished father of Francisco Fernandes, Frederico Fernandes Manuel Fernandes, Ana Fernandes, Gisela DePina, Gilson DePina, Ilda Fernandes-DePina, Michael DePina, Manuel Lopes DePina, Adair DePina, and Maria Da Luz DePina. Loving grandfather of Anthony Fernandes, Destiny Fernandes, Felicia Fernandes, Freddy Jr. Fernandes Antonio Marquis Fernandes, Adilson Fernandes, Analise Fernandes, Jakari Fernandes, Josiah Francis, and Suraiya DePina. He is also survived by his siblings and many relatives.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Patrick Church, Friday July 17 at 10AM. Visiting hours also at Saint Patrick Church, Thursday 7-9PM.  Relatives and friends invited. Interment New Calvary Cemetery.

Murdel L. Anglin

Murdel L. Anglin, 95, of Boston passed away on July 11, 2015.  She was the devoted wife of the late Oswald Anglin.  Loving mother of Evadne Symister of Holbrook, MA, Winsome Roomes and her husband Samuel of Florida, Claudette Gates and her husband David of Dorchester, Horace Anglin of Mashpee, MA Daphne McLean and Agnes Fuller.  Loving grandmother of Cheryl, Richard, Sandra, Charlene, Siobahn and Joshua and proud great grandmother of seven.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 18 at 10 AM in the Church of the Holy Spirit, 525 River Street, Mattapan.  Relatives and friends kindly invited.  Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 6-8 PM at the church.  Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers a donation in Murdel’s name may be made to the Church of the Holy Spirit, 525 River Street, Boston, MA 02126.

Gloria J. Gaetani, of Jamaica Plain, formerly of Milton on July 7, 2015.  Daughter of the late Arthur Gaetani, M.D. and Evelyn Mark Gaetani.  Sister of the late Arthur Gaetani, Jr.  Survived by nephew Robert A. Gaetani.  Also survived by many friends and dearest friends Darlene Penrose and Ceclia Cannavino.

Funeral Service will be held at Dolan & Chapman Funeral Home, 5 Canton Ave., MILTON VILLAGE,  Tuesday, July 14 at Noon.  Visitation one hour prior of service 11:00 AM.  Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Mary T. (Holt) Quinn, of Dorchester, died at Harborlights Nursing & Rehabilitation Center South Boston, Tuesday July 7, 2015. She was 100 years old.

Born in Tewksbury, Mary was a retired sales clerk at R. H. White. She and her husband Jim have been married for over 70 years.

Beloved wife of James L. Quinn. Mother of Francis J. “Frank” Quinn of Mansfield and the late James P. Quinn. Grandmother of Theresa Quinn Strickland. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary was a true Joy!

She was always Kind, Gentle & Loving.

She was selfless, always considering others first, Her Character & Values informed & taught us by her example.

Mary’s humor & wonderful smile always brightened our days. Her inner strength & effortless resiliency through life’s challenges was amazing.

We we’re very Blessed & Thankful to have such a treasure of Joy, Grace, Selfless Love, Strength of Character, Resiliency, Kindness, & Beauty. Yes, That’s my Mom. She delighted in the simple pleasures of family and love.

As for material possessions & earthly delights; she most valued her cup of tea, her Peppermint-Stick Ice-cream, Cheesecake with fresh Strawberries, & Chocolate Rainbow Nonpareils.

She expressed herself through her painting and art but mostly she expressed herself in the care, devotion, attention to, & Love for her family.

Mary was a teacher by example, & a perfect role model for; “How to Live a Good and Happy Life.”

Franklin Litdell Marshall was  born on October 1, 1938 in Baldwyn Mississippi to the late Nebraska and Gertrude Marshall and was the youngest of their four children: the late Annie Ruth Stewart of Baldwyn, MS, Luther Marshall (Monica) of Boston, and Bobby Marshall (Marzie) of Peoria Illinois. He met and married his wife of 54 years Marie Marshall formerly Bowdry; and  together they had three daughters who were the joy of his life: Donna Cabey (Emilio), Mary, and Monique      Marshall–Veale (Ronald). He was the cherished grandfather of Imani, Emilio ll, Nia, Amari,  Nyeilla and Alliyah; great grandfather of Emilio lll and Egan. Loved like a father by Ayawanna and Kevin Davis,         Shannon Hutty-Patterson and Veronica Cottle-Watson; and grandfather to Presceia Cooper,  Marcha Dyer, Mervin Archibald and   Juwonni Cottle.    Lovingly remembered by sister-in-laws Corrie Anderson and Rosie Scales, and a host of family and friends. Simao Rosa

Simão Rosa, born on March 20, 1933, a resident of Dorchester, MA passed away July 2nd 2015 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Simão Rosa was born and raised in Fogo Cabo Verde. He was born to the late Raul Rosa and Antonia Vasconcelos Rosa and was the beloved husband to Malvina Rosa for over 40 years.

Simão is survived by his beloved brothers Alirio Mendes Rosa, Guilherme Mendes Rosa, Jose Bolivar Mendes Rosa, and his sister Teresa Mendes Rosa, beloved children Maria Lina Rosa, Josefina Rosa Tavares, Manuel Rosa, Jose Rosa, Carlos Rosa, Arnaldo Lopes Rosa, Maria Jose Rosa, Afro Simão Rosa, Luis Rosa, Sandra Rosa, Raul Rosa, Adilson Rosa, Jorge Rosa, and Sandro Rosa. He is the beloved grandfather to 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He will be remembered by countless friends and family whom were blessed to know him.

He will be fondly remembered as the loving teacher “Senhor Simão” in his native country Cabo Verde. He taught for over 40 years and left a legacy as a great mentor who continued to impact the lives of all the students he touched.

Simão loved listening to traditional Cape Verdean music, playing the violin, playing cards, laughing, being with his family, having fun with his friends and teaching elementary school children back in his country. One of his favorite hobbies was walking to the corner store to buy scratch tickets.

Simão touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.

Visiting hours will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., LOWER MILLS,  Monday 5-8PM. Friends and family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at 10AM at St. Patrick’s Church on 10 Magazine St, Roxbury MA 02119. The family invites all guests to please join them back at the church function in the basement area for refreshments after the interment.

Marianne Walton Kiley passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2015 at Concord Health Care Center in Concord MA, where she had been a resident since 2008. She was born Marianne Clark in Bemidji, MN to Jani Mills and Carlton Whitney Clark on July 11, 1920. Husbands Frederick N. Wildt, Gerald E. Maguire, and Harry M. Kiley preceded her in death.

She was graduated from Wilson’s Teacher’s College in Washington, D.C. In 1941 and in 1941-1942, Marianne taught 3rd grade at Van Buren School in Washington, D.C. She was employed by the Departments of the Navy, Army, and Air Force, retiring with the rank of AFSC, ESD, Deputy for Communications and Navigations Systems, Procurement and Production Office, L.G. Hanscom Field, Bedford, MA. She received numerous commendations.

Her base of operations in the 1950’s was London, and she took the opportunity to travel extensively in Europe, filling several passports with entry stamps.

After retirement she owned an antique shop in Concord MA, and spearheaded Widowed Persons Service, volunteers offering one-to-one emotional support to newly widowed men and women, where she served as President and member of the WPS board of directors. She was leader in The Tingley Cluster Group of Acton Congregational Church and a member of the Acton Garden Club. She enjoyed trips throughout the NE to Elder Hostels, and she revisited London many times, where she maintained connection with friends.

Graveside service Thursday, July 9 at 11:00 AM in Woodlawn Cemetery, Acton MA.

Robert K. Bold

Bold,RobertKRobert K. “Bobby” Bold, 54, of Weymouth, died suddenly at home June 26, 2015. Born in Milton May 22, 1961, the son of Jeanne ( Desmond) Bold  of Weymouth and the late Robert K. Bold, Sr., he had lived in Milton before moving to Weymouth 18 years ago. A graduate of Milton High School, he worked as a car salesman for many years.  An avid golfer, he will be remembered as personable, social and a loyal fan of all the Boston sports teams. Bobby had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his many friends.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his brother, Stephen C. Bold of Milton, and his sisters, Lisa M. Loomis and husband, Clay of Granite Bay, CA and Susan B. Smith and her husband, Gary of Weymouth. Bobby is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Paris and Hunter Loomis, Alexandra and Luke Bold and Jordan Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Agatha Church, Adams Street and Brook Road, Milton on Thursday, July 9 at 9 a.m.  Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave  East Milton Square, Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment Milton Cemetery.
