Devoted Mother and Grandmother Mrs. Barbara Clements, “Nana” died peacefully in her home on Friday the 14th of October, 2016 in Hooksett, New Hampshire at the age of 79. Barbara is survived by her sister Jeannie, her son William, her granddaughters Christina and Corrie, and her great-grandson Dylan. She is preceded in death by her brother Richard, her husband Leonard, and her daughter Karen.Barbara was born on January 14th, 1937 in Boston, Massachusetts to John and Catherine Ryan. She married Air Force sergeant Leonard Clements in 1958 and they traveled the country together. Barbara loved her time spent living in Germany and California with her husband. After the death of her husband, Barbara moved to Stoughton, Massachusetts and eventually settled in Hooksett, New Hampshire with her son and grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies include her Antiques, puzzles, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Visiting hours will be held Friday in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS 10 – 11:45 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:45. Relatives and Friends invited. Calvin E. Parker

Calvin E. Parker, a retired maintenance supervisor, died at home in Milton Thursday October 13, 2016. He was 92 years old.

Born and raised in Milton, he graduated from Milton High School in 1941. Mr. Parker served as a Fire Controlman Third Class on the USS Arkansas during World War II. Upon discharge he returned to Milton and started working in 1946. Mr. Parker retired from WHDH Television in 1994.

Beloved husband of Adeline Parker. Loving father of Calvin E. Parker Jr. and his wife Angela of Milton, James B. Parker and his wife Christine of Plympton, Mark E. Parker and his wife Elaine of Reading, Suzanne Glendye and her husband Walter of Middleboro and the late Matthew S. Parker. Grandfather of Heather, James, Samantha, Sarah, Mark, Scott, Ashley and Nicole. Great-grandfather of George.

Private family funeral services have been held.

Nancy (Murphy) Fehrm

Nancy Elizabeth Fehrm (Murphy), of Harwichport, 80, died peacefully surrounded by family on October 13, 2016. Predeceased by her husband Albert G. Fehrm and her son Eric Fehrm. Survived by her children, Albert G. Fehrm Jr. and wife Stacie of Kingston, Carolyn Fehrm and her partner Peter Barron of Westwood, Jacquelyn Gordon and her husband Larry of Dedham and grandchildren, Steven and Kevin Fehrm; Nate, Christian, Jinah and Jed Cappuccino; Sammy, Michael and Mae Gordon. Sister of Carole Murphy, Brenda Sullivan and the late Alice (Pat) Callahan, and brother Joseph Murphy. Dear friend of Mona Franklin, and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Nancy grew up in Dorchester, Saint Mark Parish. After graduating from Saint Gregory, she worked for Boston City Hall. She raised her family in Scituate and Norwell, spending summers on Cape Cod. Nancy was drawn to the ocean, crewing on sailboats off Marblehead in her early years and retiring overlooking Nantucket Sound later in life. Her love of children, books, family and large gatherings was a constant theme in her life. Her home was welcome to all. In keeping with Nancy’s legacy of giving quietly, and without fanfare, in lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation to a charity of your choice. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 17 at Saint Mary of the Nativity Church, 14 Edward Foster Road, Scituate at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited.

Phyllis J. Garvey

Garvey, Phyllis J. (McLaughlin) of Braintree died on October 11, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends. Beloved wife of the late Richard T. Garvey of Braintree. Loving mother of Thomas Garvey and his wife Ruth of Braintree and Ross Garvey and his wife Kari of Mendon. Cherished grandmother of Maria and Katherine Garvey of Braintree and Hannah Flis and Patrick Garvey both of Mendon.

Phyllis was born in Boston and grew up in Dorchester. She was a self employed Automobile dealer for many years before retiring. Phyllis loved her family who were the cornerstone of her life. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday October 20, 2016 at 10AM in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Washington Street, Braintree.   Interment will be at a later date. Elyse M. Murphy

Murphy, Elyse M. of Quincy formerly of Scituate died peacefully on October 11, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Frederick G. Murphy. Loving mother of Brian Murphy of Providence, RI; Karen Murphy and her husband Soren Richelsen of Newburyport; Dennis Murphy of Las Vegas, NV; Bruce Murphy and his wife Sherry of Easthampton: Keith Murphy and his wife Lori of Andover; and Jacqueline Murphy of Quincy. Cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren.  Sister-in-law of Elaine Murphy of West Roxbury. Elyse was lovingly cared for by the staff of Marina Bay Nursing Home for the past five years.

Elyse was born in Quincy and grew up in Dorchester. She was a graduate of Girls Latin High School and Mass College of Art. She was a talented artist and dedicated art teacher for the City of Chicopee for 24 years before retiring.  Elyse was an avid reader and enjoyed volunteering her time at the Scituate Art Association. Most of all Elyse’s family was the most important aspect of her life. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday October 14, 2016 at 10:00AM at St. Brendan’s Church, 589 Gallivan Blvd. Dorchester.   At the request of the family, visitation is private. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams St., Dorchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elyse may be made to Scituate Etrusco Associates of Scituate, P.O. Katie Waldron of Canton passed away September 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved daughter of the late Curtis and Zailla Elam. Loving mother of Deborah Gorham-Creech and William Berry. Maureen Skerry Curran, a longtime resident of Milton, died October 5th surrounded by her devoted and adoring family. Maureen was born in 1944 in South Boston, Massachusetts. She raised her family in Milton and recently began spending 6 months a year in her home in Montpelier, Virginia. She attended Boston Business School. She worked many administrative jobs throughout her life but her true passion was caring for others in the home health industry. Maureen loved to garden, crochet, knit, cook, decorate, entertain and above all else spend time with her family. She enjoyed travelling, history, and watching her children and grandchildren navigate life. She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years Barry Curran of Milton. Devoted mother of Barry Jr. of Boston, Chris & wife Kerri of South Boston, Kerry & husband Jimmy of Montpelier, VA and Patrick of Cumberland, RI. Loving grandmother to McAlister “Cali”, Owen and Meghan. She is the daughter of the late John Vincent Skerry and Mary T. Skerry formerly of South Boston. Sister of Beverly O’Connor of Pembroke, John Vincent Skerry, Jr. of Pembroke, the late Brian Skerry of South Boston, Debbie Bernardi of South Boston, Barry Skerry of Kingston and Marc Skerry of South Boston.
