Virginia E. MacDonald
In Weymouth, formerly of South Boston and Quincy, March 5th, Virginia E. MacDonald, peacefully after two years of failing health. Ginny was born in South Boston, MA, in 1927 to John and Jane MacDonald. She is survived by her loving and caring sister, Jean M. Breen and her husband, Harry of Quincy and was predeceased by siblings Helen Hartigan, Katherine Mossbacker, Frances McLaughlin, John MacDonald and Phyllis Dailey; and leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Ginny was employed by the Registry of Motor Vehicles and State Lottery Commission. She spent much good time with her sisters and brother, traveled to Florida and loved indulging her nieces, nephews and their children. In retirement, Ginny became the best dog sitter and a Eucharist minister, enjoyed dining at the Common Market Restaurant and cherished her friends and neighbors living at the Moorings in Quincy!
The family wishes to thank the Dwyer Home and their wonderful staff for the compassionate and quality care for Ginny.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated to honor Ginny’s life Saturday, March 16th at 10:30 am, St. Ann’s Church, Wollaston. Interment Private. Collation to follow Mass.
