Ruth (Leary) Schaetzl, died in Ocala, FL, formerly of Milton, Sunday, October 29, 2017. She was 88.

Born in Milton, Ruth was a graduate of Milton High School Class of 1947 . She attended Boston University and was employed as a bookkeeper at Milton Home Furnishings Store. In 1954 she and her late husband, John Schaetzl moved to Miami, FL. Ruth worked for the Nasco Aircraft Company, now known as Hercules Aircraft Distributors, until her retirement in 1994.

Ruth was a member of the Guild of St. Monica’s Church in Palatka, FL. She was  a member of the Red Hat Society and was the former secretary of the Milton Jr. Woman’s Club.

Ruth was the sister of Edith Chase of Milton and the late William H. Leary, Jr. Aunt of Nadine Leary of Milton, W. Geoff Leary of Eastham, Kathy Ann Chase of Milton, Anthony Gregg Chase of North Easton, William S. Chase of Milton, Elizabeth  Budgen of NH,  William Schaetzl of  Pembroke, Richard Schaetzl and Paul Schaetzl, both of Quincy and the late Robert Schaetzl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Agatha Chapel, 432 Adams Street, MILTON, Monday, November 6 at 10:30 am. Interment Milton Cemetery.
