Patricia Cerasuolo
Patricia M. (Dillon) Cerasuolo, 71, of Canton (formerly of Belmont), passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2017 after a year long battle with cancer. Patricia was born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 12, 1946 to the late Joseph & Dorothea (Morris) Dillon. After graduating from Saint Columbkille High School in Brighton she attended Bridgewater State University. She later obtained two Master’s Degrees from Boston College. She was predeceased by her love, Paul F. Cerasuolo, whom she married on October 16, 1971 at Saint Columbkille. Patricia devoted her working life to educating high school aged children in the greater Boston area. She was a fixture at Saint Columbkille and Saint Clement high schools prior to going to Fontbonne Academy in Milton where she worked for twenty-seven years as both a teacher and an administrator until her retirement in 2016. Not only was she a presence in the classroom, but she loved connecting with students at performances, games, and functions within the Fontbonne community. Even after her retirement, Patricia remained in close contact with her friends and colleagues on a regular basis proving that Fontbonne Academy would always be an integral part of who she was. She enjoyed her travels throughout the United States and Europe, although those experiences would temporarily take her away from the Boston sports teams that she loved. Most of all she cherished spending time with her beloved grandchildren. In addition to being predeceased by Paul, Patricia leaves behind her son; David Cerasuolo of Norfolk, MA and David’s children Connor and Caroline, her daughter Amy (Cerasuolo) Lindstrom and her husband Kristian and their sons Noah and Jared all of Manchester, CT. She is also survived by her brother Francis Dillon and his wife Linda of Raynham, MA, her brother James Dillon and his wife Rita of Schenectady, NY, her brother Joseph Dillon and his wife Donna Hussey of Seabrook NH, her sister Marianne (Dillon) Raeke and her husband Kevin of Sutton, MA, her sister-in-law Ellen Cerasuolo of Manomet, MA, her brother-in-law Donald Cerasuolo and his wife Linda of Wilmington, NC. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as many loyal and wonderful friends. Her family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff of 2 East at Manchester Memorial Hospital as well as those at Visiting Nurse and Health Services of Connecticut for their care and companionship during her illness. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 4-8PM at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., EAST MILTON SQUARE, MA 02186. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 29th at 10AM at Saint Elizabeth Church in Milton. Interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the “Patricia Cerasuolo Leadership Award” at Fontbonne Academy 930 Brook Road, Milton, MA 02186.

Your Mom was – and always will be in my heart – an amazing woman. Full of love and faith, she touched many of us. She was a friend and one of the best mentors I have ever had. There’s no doubt in my mind that she went straight to heaven and is with her love, your Dad. She will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Cerasoulo was one of the best teachers I had during my time at FBA. She was always encouraging and assisted me in becoming who I am today. My thoughts and prayers go out to her famaily. Aloha< Skye class of '94
People come in and out of your life while others come into your life leave their handprint on you heart and no matter where you go in life you will always have a piece of them with you. Mrs. Cerasuolo you changed my life. When others didn’t think I could be somebody you knew I could be anybody. You pushed me to reach for the stars and if I missed helped lift me higher so I could finally touch them. You never gave up on me even when I did and when I needed you, you knew exactly what to say. I am devastated of your passing but I am a better person because I knew you. Thank you for all you have done for me. This girl finished high school, went to college and got her masters….I made some thing of myself and I couldn’t have done that without you. I love you!
David and Amy so sorry to hear about your mom. We were neighbors on Thayer street. Your mom was a great woman may her memory be eternal
I am saddened by the loss of a leader impacted by life so profoundly. Mrs. Cerasuolo was a venerated by all. She fostered a community where each woman was to discover, develop and share their gifts, their light, without any hesitation. She rooted for us, guided us and held us to a standard and potential we did not know we had. She made each student feel valued and worthy. She led with love and encouraged us to do the same. She taught us that we were sisters, at the crux of being a Fontbonne woman was to always cheer on, help, inspire and grow with one another not just in high school but throughout our lives.
She encouraged me to be my best self and expected nothing less. She believed in me when I did not believe in myself. She gave me the courage to be myself. She taught me respect, responsibly, reverence and reconciliation along with selflessness, diligence, dedication, compassion and leadership. She taught me what lied at the core of life, sharing and using your gifts and privilege for good, for others, for the dear neighbor. She showed me that every moment you live can be filled with light, purpose and empathy.
I treasured our discussions, her presence and am beyond grateful for her. She will remain in my heart and with Fontbonne, its spirit and community forever. I love and will miss you Mrs. Cerasuolo. Thank you for everything.
So sorry for the passing of my oldest dearest best friend! She will be missed but the memories we had will always be with me.
Dear Dillon and Cerasuolo family,
It’s been many years since I have seen you all or even met some of you. I remember Patsy as warm and friendly with a bubbly laugh. I also remember sharing Christmas eves and many a Fourth of July with donuts for the parade supplied by the Dillon family, cookout, and fireworks. I am sorry for the lost connection. I send my love to all of you and know that the effervescent Patsy will be sorely missed by her family and those in her Fontbonne and church community with whom she connected.
I am so sorry about Pat. She was a wonderful teacher, administrator and dear, good person, and will be sorely missed. I taught French at Fontbonne from l987 to 1998 and have many fond memories of her. She will remain in my thoughts and prayers. I send you myi deepest sympathy
