Arthur H. Barham, of Dorchester died at home June 6, 2017.

Beloved husband of  Cherry  Barham of Dorchester.  Devoted father  of sons; Granville, Harrington and Vernon, daughters;  Jackie and Merva.  Loving  stepfather of Chadric and Barbara.  Brother of Denver, Eva, Peggy, Kitty and Sibble.  Grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Cherished buddy to C.J.

Arthur was born and raised in Jamaica.  He  was a security guard at Boston Symphony Hall for 14 years, before that he worked  at Quincy Shipyard  and a paper mill in Hyde Park.  Arthur always had a smile on his face and  was considered to be a fun man to be around and was great with children.  He enjoyed cooking, wrestling, watching planes from his front porch and was an avid baseball fan.  He will be missed by all those who had the great pleasure to have known and loved him.

Visiting hours Friday June 16, 5-8PM at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS.  Funeral service on Saturday June, 17 at  10:00AM  in Saint Mark Episcopal Church, 73 Columbia Road, Dorchester, followed burial  in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
