Dr. Marius M. Solomon
Dr. Marius M. Solomon, 61, of Milton, MA peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.
He is survived by his adoring daughters, Hannah N. Solomon and Arielle M. Solomon, and former wife and girls’ mother, Janine A. Solomon, all of Milton, MA. He is also survived by his first cousin and her family of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Born on February 2, 1955, in Bucharest, Romania, he was the beloved son of the late Dr. Osias Solomon and the late Ileana (Zanfirescu) Solomon. Dr. Solomon was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, where he received his Ph.D. in Decisions Sciences (1984), MA in Dynamical Systems, and BA in Mathematics (University of Pennsylvania, 1977). He spent his entire professional career as a Professor in the Information, Operations and Analysis Group at Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. He was fluent in five languages, enjoyed traveling, cooking, art, music, was an avid sports fan, and loved to coach and watch his daughters play soccer.
Relatives, friends, and colleagues are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Milton, 495 Canton Avenue, Milton, MA. A light lunch/reception for a time of fellowship and remembrance will follow the Service.
