Dear Rosemarie, David, Cubbie, Chris, Julie, Tony and Mimi,
I was so sorry when my mother called me the other night to say that Dr. Sullivan had died. I had heard that he was in a rehab center and had hoped to write, but now he can know my thoughts anyway. He was a wonderful friend, always so full of life and an unexpected interesting thought. My mother said, “I’m not sure what people do up in heaven, but I bet Dad’s happy to have Ike there, and they are surely talking about something!” I wish I could go to the wake and funeral, but promise to ask the Abbey to pray for you and your wonderful father and husband, and I assure that we will offer Mass for him soon. Love, Sr. Augusta
