He was our pastor for many many years- my children loved him- he officiated at our 50th private Wedding Anniversary mass and renewal of our vows. We were so pleased that our grandchildren got to meet our “special” friend. Although we are living in South Carolina, his memory will always be with us.
Duxbury Holy Family Church lost a great member of their Family. He was also a great supporter of the town of Duxbury, a friend of the Gurry’s, and a big Red Sox fan. Thank you for being there. Godspeed, Monsignor.
A wonderful wonderful man who will be deeply missed by all. He married my husband and me 15 years ago. So sorry to hear about his death. God bless his family.
Msgr. Glynn was truly the last of a kind – a rock solid link to the old and the new. Such a selfless and devout man as there ever was. He was a much beloved pastor at St. Catherine of Genoa in Somerville for many years when me and my siblings were growing up. It was wonderful to meet him again when we moved to Duxbury 20 years ago. Holy Family Church is his legacy. Congratulations Monsignor on a life well lived.
Hi Bill:
Just found out that Msgr. Glen passed away this week.
I remember you had met him at Holy Family.
Hope all is well.

A beautiful human being all around. Msgr. Glynn came to our Golf Outings in memory of my Aunt, Tricia Zarella. Tricia was a communicant of Holy Family and after she died….Msgr. came to our event year after year. That is how I got to know him. He had a heart of gold and he will be missed by all who knew him. I hope he is enjoying a nice golf game in Heaven!
What an honorable and decent man Msgr. Glynn was – he indeed rests in peace. He was, and always will be, a part of our family memories. He loved, accepted and comforted us. He was a true man of God. We will miss him more than words can say.
Community leader, friend, honest, caring, giving, words can’t describe his impact. Whenever you see the Red Sox flag flying at Holy Family, you always have a story of Msgr. Glynn.
Speaking for the MacKay family of Mill Pond Ln.

A fine priest and man. With the lord’s grace, his ilk will return and with it, a return to the tradition with which he was formed, and to which he was a touchstone
I was very sorry to hear the news about Msgr. Glynn. He married my husband and I over 20 years ago and baptized both of my daughters. He was a comfort to many. Holy Family and the town of Duxbury has lost a wonderful member of the community. May he rest in peace and continue to offer guidance with the wise words he preached throughout the years.
I had the great fortune of knowing Msgr. Glynn for most of my life. He was just a wonderful person who so enjoyed the game of golf. Never judgmental, but always willing to listen to your points, no matter how off base they were. He was there for my family in the good times (50th anniversary Masses) and the bad times (funerals). The Gearin, McLaughlin and Comerford families looked forward to his Summer visits to our Cape house and his good natured jesting. We will miss him.
I met Fr. Glynn when he was at the Propagation of the Faith in Boston. I worked there part time when I was a teenager and stayed on after school. He was wonderful to everyone. It was there I decided to enter religious life. I did and Fr. Glynn often made the ride from Boston to Connecticut to see how I was doing. I feel sure he was responsible for many dedicating their lives to the Church. He was so down to earth. His gift to all of us-he loved being a Priest-it always came first for him. Because of that, people trusted him. He will be missed but we are grateful for the memories.
Nice and kind priest who helped make St Gregory’s Parish great….
