H. Russell Carney
H. Russell Carney, of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester and South Boston, August, 13, 2014. Beloved husband of his late wife Joan (McDade) Carney. Loving father of Russ, Joanne, Steven, Mary, Karen, Brenda, Dan, Jim, Linda and Donna. He was predeceased by sons Kevin and Patrick. Also survived by many loving grandchildren. Mr. Carney retired from the South Postal Annex after a 37 year career and was also employed at Amtrak, MIT and US Steel for many years. He was a Navy veteran who served during the Korean War. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 18 at 10:30 A.M. in Saint Ann’s Church, 243 Neponset Avenue, Dorchester. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Sunday from 4-8 P.M. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. In lieu of flowers donations in Russell ‘s memory may be made to the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund, 512 Tenth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20004 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
