Epsie Y. “Bonnie” Maddrey

Bonnie was born on December 21, 1950 in Portsmouth, Virginia she was third eldest daughter to the late Fannie R. Maddrey and Williams Taylor. She came to Boston in 1957 and attended GirlsHigh   School.  She worked as a sales associate at the Salvation Army.  She was a volunteer at Eastern Service Workers Association. She worked at W.A.I.T.T. House. She love children and she babysat all her nieces and nephews, neighborhood and friends children. She was a loving caring person and anyone who came to know her loved her.  She loved talking on the phone, you tell her to call back in 5 or 10 minutes or even hour she would call you back on that minute or hour promptly.  She was dedicated and obsessed with Michael Jackson, wrestling, puzzles and card games. Her favorite color was red she called it million dollar red. She leaves to mourn her sons Ramon and Marlon Maddrey of Boston, her grandchildren Ramon, DeShaun, Ashley, Ramara and great grandchild LaZias. Her best friend Serena and Cousin Linda. Her siblings Mabel, late William, Larry of Decatur, Georgia, Vivian Jones, Ronald, late Patricia, Lillie, Shelina, Maria and Sabrina Maddrey all of Boston, MA and host of relatives and friends.

Although absent from the body and present with the Lord the memory of your spirit will always be in our hearts its goodbye for now – but not forever.

Visiting Hours will be from 10 – 12 Weds. in the Bethel Baptist Church, 18 St. James St., Roxbury, MA. Service will follow at noon. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
