Michele (Sweeney) Saulnier

a longtime employee at Stop and Shop on Newport Avenue in Quincy, died after a short illness on Monday, May 11 at her home in Quincy. She was 54 years old.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Milton and graduated from Saint Agatha School, Fontbonne Academy and Fannie Farmer School of Cooking. She enjoyed culinary arts and was dedicated to caring for her children and her parents.

Loving mother of Joshua J. Saulnier and Yvonne E. Saulnier, both of Quincy. Loving daughter of Dorothy W. (McElhiney) Sweeney and the late Maj. Gen. Charles W. Sweeney (USAF). Former wife of Gerald J. Saulnier. Sister of Patricia O’Neill of Cheshire, CT, Marylyn Howe of Marshfield Hills, Charles Sweeney Jr. of CA, M. Carol Sweeney-Boyd of Milton, Terence Sweeney of AZ, Rosemary Gunning of Norwell, Elizabeth Sweeney of Cape Cod, Joseph Sweeney of Milton, Bonnie Sweeney of Charlestown and the late Joan Sweeney.

A Funeral Service will be held in Saint Chrysostom Church, 1 Linden St (corner of Hancock and Linden Sts.)on Friday, May 15 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, MILTON, Thursday 4-8 PM. Interment Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
