of Weymouth died on July 2, 2009. She worked as a Supervisor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Welfare, for over 35 years and was an avid reader and animal lover.

Alice graduated from the University of Miami and also taught at the Glover School in Milton.

She was the loving daughter of the late Leo and Kathryn (Crowley) Mahoney. Sister of Marjorie A. Mahoney of Hingham, Edward J. Mahoney of Sacramento, CA and Jane M. Boomer of Hingham and Stuart, FL. Alice leaves a niece, several nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and many friends. A graveside service will be held in Saint Paul Cemetery, Hersey St., Hingham on Friday, July 10 at 11:30AM. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave. MILTON on Thursday, 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Massachusetts Humane Society, 87 Wharf Street, East Weymouth, MA 02189.
