Mary Patricia (Phelan) McAuliffe
of Quincy, died Friday August 7 at Sinai Rehabilitation Center, Boston after a long illness. She was 78 years old.
Born and raised in Weymouth, on Randall Avenue, she graduated from Weymouth High School in 1949. She lived in Quincy for more than fifty years.
Mrs. McAuliffe was a former employee of Raytheon in Quincy and later worked at the Bargain Center of Quincy. She loved to travel and spend time as a devoted loving and caring mother to all her family and everyone who knew her.
Devoted loving wife of the late Francis T. McAuliffe, she is survived by three daughters, Colleen Hope of Spencer, Marie Courage of Quincy and Janice McAuliffe of Spencer; 2 sons, Patrick McAuliffe of Boston and Michael McAuliffe of Quincy; grandson Michael Courage of Quincy; son-in-law Eric Hope; and a very loving friend Jean Bouchard of Quincy.
A private service will be held at Dolan Funeral Home, MILTON. There will be a Mass said in her name at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy on Sunday August 16, 2009. Relatives and friends invited.
