Diane C. Anderson
Diane Cecile (Ferland) Anderson, 78 years old, resident of Hull, passed away on October 28th, 2020 after a long illness.
Beloved daughter of the late Raymond E. Ferland and Flore (Desaulniers) of Fall River. She was pre-deceased by her husband Edward A. Anderson. Loving mother of Denise Permatteo & husband Jason of Luneburg MA, Jill Miller and husband Chris of Quincy MA, and Erik Anderson of Quincy MA. Loving grandmother to Andrew & Mireille Permatteo and Arthur Miller. Loving sister of Lucille Morrissey of Tarpon Springs Fl, Paul Ferland and wife Paulette of Tiverton RI, Raymond Ferland and wife Sara of Dartmouth MA, and sister in law Elizabeth (Anderson) Hurley and William of Braintree MA. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces & nephews.
Diane graduated from Dominican Academy High School in 1960. She spent several years post-graduation living and working in the city of Boston. She married in 1970 and resided in Readville, MA with her young family until moving to Hull in 1983. Diane loved the arts and was an avid painter in her young adult years. She loved all types of music, reading, foreign films and picking out colorful annuals for her front porch in the summer. She spoke French fluently and enjoyed activities that would remind her of her strong French-Canadian background. She loved to have fun and her laugh was infectious. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Diane’s family is very grateful for the care she received at Windrose at Weymouth assisted living facility & Pope skilled nursing facility in Weymouth. A graveside service honoring both Diane and Edward Anderson is planned for Friday November 6th, 2pm at the Hull Village Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to your favorite charity in Diane’s honor.

Denise, Jill and Erik, your mother was a kind woman who always made me feel welcome in her home. Although there are no words that can take away your sorrow, please know that I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Denise, I will always fondly remember your mom asking us what antics we were up to now :). Sending my love… ~Kim
My sincere condolences to you and your family Denise. May she rest in Peace
Your mother and I were graduates of Dominican Academy’s Class of 1960–so very long ago (yet almost yesterday in memories). She always had a vivacious personality and I doubt that changed as she grew older. I did see her 10-years ago at our 50th reunion and quite frankly she appeared as though she hadn’t aged at all. Losing your Mom and Dad in the same year must be a terrible blow. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire Anderson Family. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
I WORKED WITH YOUR MOTHER MANY YEARS AGO AT J&J CORRUGATED BOX CO. FALL RIVER MA. WE BECAME GOOD FRIENDS AND HAD MUCH FUN TOGTHER I HAVE THOUGHT OF HER MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS BUT DID’NT KNOW HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH HER.. I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON BOTH IN AND OUT..
