I was so sorry to learn of Lillian’s passing. I visited her nearly every week for the past ten years, and always learned something new. Lillian always greeted me with a cookie or a piece of chocolate. We would sometimes go for coffee or to pick her up some groceries, even take a bus to the MFA, but most of our visits, we went to listen to music at NEC. She loved music, especially jazz (she told me how she’d attended an early Newport Jazz Festival many years ago), and I heard so much wonderful music because of Lillian. I’ll miss her very much.
I’m very sadden to belatedly find out about Lillian’s passing. She enriched my life with her lively spirit and beautiful personality. I think of her often and always will.
