Michael (a.k.a. “Bird & DJ Lovejoy”) was born in Biddeford, Maine on March 31, 1965, and passed peacefully on May 5, 2020. Beloved son of Sheila Irene March, Michael was raised in the Bromley Heath section of Jamaica Plain, MA.  A graduate of Boston High School Class of 1982, Michael joined the United States Army upon graduating and was stationed at Fort Sill Oklahoma where he achieved the rank of Private First Class.  Upon leaving the military Michael attended college in Los Angeles, CA and held many different positions throughout his career in financial services, including at the Bank of Boston and Fidelity Investments.  Though successful in financial services, Michael was more known for the time he spent as a chef, which deeply endeared him to the many people he encountered.

Michael will be most remembered for his love for family; his willingness to help anyone in need whether it be repairing cars, replacing a roof, building a finished basement or cooking a full course meal; he was always there for those in need.  He also had an undying love for music which often seemed to lead to a dance off with a willing participant, and always ended in his version of the merengue.  He had a love for fishing especially in NH with his family.  And, if you ever played basketball with him, you will always remember that ever reliable jump shot with a little hesitation at the release.

We will always miss you Mike.
