A book could be written on all that Pat O’Neill has done with her 80 years. Now we honor her and acknowledge that she was one of those that showed unselfish compassion and we will never forget her.
My family and I were so sad to hear of Tim’s passing. He was an awesome neighbor for many years and I will sincerely miss our “front yard conversations”. My heart and prayers go out to his family.

Tim and I were classmates at Matignon High School. Following our fiftieth reunion, many of us continued to meet every two months for lunch and spirited conversation. Tim was able to join us on many of those occasions. It was fun conversing with him, although we didn’t often share the same viewpoint – making it more fun – but we always respected each other’s opinion. It was a happy time.

Our son, Patrick, had a great experience playing for Mr. O’Connell on the Red Sox from 2007-2010. He was a great inspiration to the players and their families, along with his fellow coaches, Rocky and Dave Morse. He was a quiet, steady presence who encouraged the players to work hard, but not to get down on themselves if they made an error.
Mr. O’Connell had a balanced perspective and wanted the players to have fun but also realize there are more important things in life. For example, each year he made it a point to not have practice on Mother’s Day.
We will also miss his smiling face at Perks in Norwood Center and at St. Timothy Church.
My deepest condolences on Tim’s death. I dated back to Cambridge
P.O. all the way through Boston High with him. He will be missed.
