Franklin B. Wilson III

Franklin Wilson III was the second to youngest child born to Shirley and Franklin Wilson in 1969.

Franklin graduated from Scituate High School in Scituate MA. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army. After retiring from
the Army, Franklin worked for Bakers Commodities Corp., in Lowell, MA for 15 years.

Franklin’s life was enriched by the birth of his sons Treyvon and Jokai Wilson. He was a loving and devoted father and was very proud of his sons.

He was a compassionate lover of animals and created a shelter on
his property for homeless cats to seek refuge in inclement weather, providing food, water and shelter for animals that found their way to
the sanctuary on his property.

Franklin departed this life on January 5, 2020 due to smoke inhalation. He passed away with his brother Gregory, who planned to stay with Franklin for a while to help work on remodeling in the home. They had made substantial progress prior to their passing.

Franklin was preceded in death by his brothers, Alfatir and Akil Wilson, and sister Walidah Wilson. He leaves to mourn, his sons Treyvon and Jokai Wilson of MA; father, Franklin B. Wilson Jr. of MA; mother, Shirley J. Wilson of M. siblings, Elbert Wilson of Roslindale, MA; Daphne and Dennis Brown of Springfield, MA; Solomon Wilson and Lynette Green of Cambridge, MA; Jabreela (Bree) Bass of New Britain, CT; and Lena Wilson of Roslindale, MA. Nephews and nieces: Corey, Lionel, Shannon, Krystal, Kyle, Jennifer, Melissa, Daniel, David, Solomon Jr., Darius, and DaAsia. Great nephews and nieces: Teon Jr., Gabriella, Leneyah and Niyahna. He also leaves to mourn, loving aunts, Pecola Brown of NY; Evelyn Murphy of SC; Barbara Wilson of MA; Victoria Weaver of SC, and a host of family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Thursday, January 16, at 11am. Relatives and friends invited.
