Adeline Paillant died October 21 at her residence in Quincy. She was 78 years old.

Adeline was born in Haiti, May 5, 1941. She lived in Haiti until 1974 when she immigrated to Brooklyn, New York. She worked as a seamstress in Queens, New York until 1999 when she relocated to Boston.

She lived with her sister Paula while working as a health care aide at St. Joseph’s Home, Dorchester. Adeline retired in 2009. Upon retirement Adeline moved to Wollaston Manor in Quincy.

Adeline was the beloved mother of Donald Paillant of CT. Sister of Egerie Altenor of Milton, Paula Paillant-Lamontagne of Mattapan and Carol Paillant of Haiti. Aunt of Greta Cadet, Natasha Altenor, Marc Arthur Lamontagne, Georgina Erase, Handy Paillant, Yves Lamontagne, Carlyle Lamontagne, Joel Flezin, and Joseph A. Paillant

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Angela’s Church, Mattapan, Saturday, November 2, at 10 o’clock.  Visiting Hours in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Friday, November 1, 4-8 pm. Interment Oak Lawn Cemetery, Boston.
