Phyllis W. Tymac
Phyllis W. Tymac (Sadowski), 93, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Milton, MA, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2019.
Loving wife of the late Nicholas Tymac, beloved mother of Ann Reilly and her husband Brian of Sarasota, Phyllis was born in Boston and grew up in Dorchester. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Staruch) and Martin Sadowski and sister of the late Julius Sadowski, the late Thaddeus Sadowski, and Stanley Sadowski of Dorchester. Phyllis is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Nicole Reilly of France and Brian T. Reilly of Cincinnati, OH, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Phyllis was proud to be an American of Polish descent and to have had a good business education at the Jeremiah E. Burke School. She worked as a secretary for several years, notably for an engineering firm called General Alloys, before settling down to raise a family. As a young woman, despite considering herself shy and quiet, she enjoyed dancing at the Polish Club and riding horses with her friends. Phyllis always loved singing, dancing, and attending church. She was a devoted parishioner at St. Mary of the Hills for many years and spent pleasant times at the Milton Council on Aging Senior Center. Her final years were spent in sunny Florida living near her daughter and son-in-law. She was an honest and loyal woman of strong faith with a caring, generous heart and a sharp mind. She left a lasting impression upon those who knew her and will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary of the Hills Church, Saturday, January 12th at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment Saint Michael’s Cemetery.

Dear Ann, I am sorry to read your sweet Mother has passed away. I have such fond memories of her from our school days at St. Mary. I saw her a few times at St. Mary’s when I had Mass said for my parents. She would make a point to wait after Mass was over to say hello and and see how the family was doing. She was a very thoughtful and caring person, who enjoyed life. I am thinking of you and your family during this sad time.
Take Care,
Jane Lynch
