Donald Joseph White, of Milton, age 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018.

Beloved husband of the late Helene (Riley) White. Loving father of Gregory R. White of Eastham, Helene W. Haddad and her husband Mark of Milton and the late Elizabeth Marie White. Grandfather of John D. Haddad, Katharine H. Haddad and James E. Haddad. Brother of the late George F. White and William H. White. Survived by several nieces and nephews.

Retired Professor of Economics, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and Associate Dean of Faculty at Boston College. He was a member of the Boston College Class of 1944 and the Harvard University Class of 1949, where he received a Ph.D in economics. Dr. White was a proud member of the Quincy High School Class of 1940.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church, 432 Adams Street, Milton, Saturday November 24 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hour at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Saturday 8:30 – 9:30 am. Interment Milton Cemetery.
