Margaret A. “Rita” (Pierce) Browne of Dorchester, formerly of County Galway, Ireland, Oct. 24, beloved wife of Thomas Browne. Devoted mother of Thomas Browne, Jr of Dorchester  and Colleen Mahoney and her husband John of Hanover.  Cherished Nana  of Shane, Cole, Ellie and Kaylie  Mahoney all of Hanover. Sister of Marie O’Callaghan of Quincy, Evelyn Griffin, Nora Connaire, Thomas Pierce, and P.J. Pierce all of Ireland and the late Rose Newell, Kathleen Pierce and Michael Pierce.  Rita is also lovingly survived by several nieces and nephews.

Rita will always be remembered for her gentle personality and her selfless devotion to her family and friends. Rita touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed, especially by her grandchildren Shane, Cole, Ellie and Kaylie who were her ultimate pride and joy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Gregory’s Church, DORCHESTER, Monday, October  29 at 10 o’clock. Visiting Hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS,   Sunday, October 28, 4-8 pm.  Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery.   In memory of Rita Browne donations may be made to  Mickey’s Bravehearts, 138 Academy Avenue, Weymouth, MA  02188.
