Lawrence T. White

Lawrence T. White (Larry), 93, of Quincy and formerly of Milton and Dorchester died peacefully on Friday, September 28th, 2018. Larry was the son of the late Vera and Leo White of Dorchester and Nova Scotia. Larry was the loving brother of John “Red” White of Bradenton, FL; and the late Mary Lenore. Larry was the beloved husband of the late Joan Sullivan. Larry was a wonderful father to his children Christine West and her husband Joseph of Mansfield; Lorraine and her husband John McKenna of Sandwich, Lawrence Jr. and his husband Stanley L. Serwacki of Boston, Leo and his wife Brenda Biggins of Milton and Nancy and her husband Michael Vaughan of Milton. Larry adored and loved his 11 grandchildren: Colin, Sean, Ryan, Brendan, Liam, Kevin, Jack, Natalie, Dermot, Siobhan, and Nora. Larry was a devoted uncle to four nephews and a niece.

Larry was a proud USMC Veteran of World War 2- serving at Guadalcanal and Mendanau. Larry was a Boston Firefighter for Ladder 17, and Local 718, for over 35 years. After retiring from the Boston Fire department, Larry worked for the US Post Office in Boston. Larry was also part owner of The Boston Club/Garage for many years.

Larry loved his church, family, walking at Castle Island, horse races, ballroom dancing, the Patriots, the Red Sox, and a good laugh

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Thursday October 4, in Saint Agatha Church, Adams St at Brook Rd., Milton at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours from the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., EAST MILTON SQUARE, Wednesday 4-8 PM. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at 12:30 PM.
