Marjorie A. Donahoe
DONAHOE, Marjorie, A. 83, a longtime resident of Quincy, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2018 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a short illness. Marjorie is the beloved wife of the late William M. Donahoe. She is the daughter of the late Madison and Alice Belliveau and the sister of the late Robert Belliveau and late Richard Belliveau. Devoted mother of Leanne Donahoe, William M. Donahoe married to Kelly A Donahoe, and Mark H. Donahoe married to Cheryl A. Donahoe all of Braintree. She is survived by her cherished grandchildren William, Eric, Meghan, Madison, and Colleen all of Braintree. She is also survived by her sister Betty Prendergast of Peabody and many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie grew up in Malden and spent her summers as a child in Pepperell. Marjorie worked at Carney Hospital for 25 years and at Newbury College for 15 years. Marjorie will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, forever giving, and loving person. She had a great sense of humor and loved to spend time with family and friends. Her passion was being a mother and especially a grandmother. Marjorie was an avid card and Bingo player and loved to crochet in her later years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, 115 Crescent St., Quincy , Tuesday, August 14 at 10 o’clock. Visiting Hours in the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Monday 4-8pm. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers donation in Marjorie’s memory may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis TN, 38148-0142.
