Eduardo “Ed” M. Cora of Boston died on July 17, 2018.
Beloved father of Eric Michael Rickerson of Boston and Kevin Demetry Rickerson, Sr. of Brockton. Brother of Wanda Mercado of Boston, Rudolfo “Rudy” Cora of Boston and the late Reynaldo Cora. Ed is also lovingly survived by 3 grandsons.
Ed was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He was Union Carpenter and longtime member of Local #40. In his younger years he was an avid hockey player and enjoyed all sports. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him. Eduardo was a proud United States Army Veteran.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visiting hour on Thursday July 26, 2018 9:00am-10:00am in Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS. A service will follow in the funeral home at 10:00am. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.

My heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Eds family. I grew up with Eddie on Woodside Ave in JP and coached and competed with him in baseball, and basketball to name a couple of the sports. Cornwall playground was our stomping grounds. One of JP’s finest athletes.

Playing b-ball with Eddie in Cornwall he had a serious quick left handed game.
I served with Eddie in the Army, and a better man could not be found. I wondered what happened with him, and just found this today, My deepest condolences on the loss of such a good man.
