Jeanne Stover

Jeanne  (DuBois) Stover, 81, formerly of Grafton and Milford, passed away peacefully surrounded by the family who loved her so much on June 5, 2018, at South Shore Medical Center, Weymouth, after a period of declining health.

Jeanne was born in Boston, to the late Helen Jones DuBois and Lawrence Henry DuBois, and was a graduate of Dorchester High and attended Framingham Teacher’s College.  She retired from the accounting department of the former Data General Corporation.

Jeanne was also predeceased by her grandparents,  Elvera and Erik Erikson, who immigrated to New York from Sweden, and the brother she missed dearly, Richard DuBois.

Jeanne was very passionate about her Swedish heritage, a trait she passed down to her children and extended family.

A strong-willed and determined woman, Jeanne leaves behind a legacy of hope, faith, love and compassion to all who knew her.  Her proudest accomplishment is that all three of her children served their country with the United States Air Force.

Jeanne is survived by the light of her life and best friend, her granddaughter Miranda Rose Hull, whom she raised, of Quincy, son Richard Stover and his wife Deb, of York, ME, Nancy Coughlin and her husband  Bill, of Quincy, and Brian Stover and his wife Katey, of Winter Garden, FL

She is also survived by her beloved grandson Richie Stover, of Portsmouth, NH, special niece and nephew, Diane DuBois Lanney, wife of Steve and mother of Michelle and Nichole of Hubbardston, and Duane DuBois, husband of Lisa and father of Beth and Michael of Dover, NH, as well as adopted granddaughter Farrah Hamada of Winthrop, her former son-in-law, George Hull of Atlanta, GA.

At Mom’s request, graveside services will be private.

Godspeed, Mommy.  We will never forget you and words can’t describe how fortunate we are to have had you as ours. You will be missed, and although we are heartbroken, we know you are no longer suffering.

A special thank you to the terrific care Mom received at South Shore Medical Center, and especially to her nurses, Jen, Kristen, and Paul. The family would also like to thank the staff at John Adams Healthcare Center for their love and support.
