Sending sincere condolences to the Mower family on the passing of Helen. I met Helen more than 35 years ago when I was working at South Shore Ethan Allen Gallery in Braintree and had placed an ad in the paper for an evening receptionist for the store. Impeccably dressed and coiffed and possessing a warm and friendly demeanor, Helen was easily the most qualified applicant for the position and we were lucky to have her Work with us until she and Lyman moved to Wareham. Helen and I became friendly and I was invited to visit them in Wareham where we enjoyed a lunch of oyster stew (I believe Lyman harvested the oysters). At lunch that day Lyman shared that he had taught for a time at Boston Mechanical high school and ironically my own father had attended that school and remembered Lyman as a teacher. Helen gave me a Christmas ornament that year – a wreath with the year 1980 inscribed and every year when I put it on our tree I smile with warm memories of such a lovely lady! I am so sorry for your loss.
